[Eiki wasn't sure when she had fallen asleep, it was rare of her to need sleep and she hadn't done anything that would require rest. Yet she woke up from a sleep and felt tired, sore, and achy. The moment it took her to open her eyes and feel around was the moment she realized what was wrong. She had been stripped, the same as when she had first ( Read more... )

It can, it would appear. [ Garviel is still enormous, but his shoulders are slumped, clad in rags. ]

In all of the worlds I have been to, there is only war.

War is natural... but that should never have been made.

If you mean the weapon that did this, my own Imperium has far more impressive weapons. [ He sighs. ] They tried to use several of them to kill me and my brothers, when Horus betrayed the Emperor... Betrayed us all.

I... yes, I am sure it will get worse. [It always did, and, after all, Eiki knew this place far better than she did. She clutched a hand against her chest, more than ever missing the presence of her rosary. Still, what had Dizzy said? Yes, that God even existed in this place, because of people like herself.

... Even though, at the moment, she couldn't believe the sight before her eyes. She knew the power of the atomic bombs was remarkable... but never before had she seen the destruction first-hand. What sort of God would allow men to wield such dire power against each other...?]
