So, I got back yesterday!! Didn't think anyone would be interested in this but you're welcome to look!
Thursday, 1 July: Got to Vienna (barely!) after an 8 hour flight which was okay, I sat next to a boy from Slovenia whom I talked to but forgot to take a picture of, when I told him I was scared of the Vienna airport b/c all the signs were in German he told me I should just follow people I had seen on our flight so that's what I did...but I managed to follow a group of people all the way to their connecting flight gate which I almost got on but then realized I wasn't going to Turkey....yeah then I finally got to see Sophie who I've been waiting all year to see! We got home and slept the whole day : )
These are some pictures of Sophie's house in Schwertberg:
Friday, 2 July: Went to Sophie's school called the Europa Gymnasium where she is in one of two classes for her grade both only consisting of only 20 students (she has also been in this same class for 5 years and doesn't change rooms for different subjects, the teachers change). In French class we saw this really funny/stupid movie called "La Boum" where the smash hit "Dreams are my Reality" was played (this song will be forever embedded in me lol)
Saturday, 3 July: went biking for a few miles to the castle of Reichenstein and when riding back I was less afraid of hanging of the cliff...then saw Shrek 2 in German at this awesome movie theatre where they had coaches/huge comfy chairs and you could order food on screens from inside while you were watching the movie and they'd bring it to you, afterwards we went to her friend Christina's house who I became pretty close to on this trip
Sunday, 4 July: went to the swimming pool in Perg where we tried to get a tan but falied
Monday and Tuesday, 5 and 6 July: went on a class trip to Carnuntum, which was about 3 hours away by bus, and camped there overnight! Carnuntum was an ancient Roman settlement which had many ruins so at night when we couldn't stand the yucky tents anymore we slept outside in the ruins. Bad idea, I got 50 mosquito bites which now have left weird marks on my body and it was sooo cold! We had a campfire though which was a lot of fun!
The shoes above are sneakers which Helen turned into sandals b/c it was so hot the first day! And yes in the next picture Sophie IS holding a sledgehammer (which I did too lol) to make printed coins. The next 2 pics are of the campfire we had. And then the rest of the pictures I'll show of Carnuntum are all of our friends. The boy alone is Schabi who had green eyes and was nice enough to let me blind him with my camera so I could have a pic of them.
On the way home from the trip we stopped in Wachau and had to climb up this mountain in the rain to waste time and then we lost the busdriver...
Wednesday, 7 July: Went to school with Sophie again, this being the 3rd or 4th time I got on the train for free. Yes she takes a train to school, how cool! And in school we were getting ready for this "Schulefest" which their school has every year and it turned out very nice indeed. At night I went to Sophie's recorder recital and she was very good, I never knew a recorder could turn out such beautiful music. I missed my cello.
Thursday, 8 July: School again, but the whole week they had no classes just hanging out so it was allright. Then afterschool we took a train to her teacher's house along with some of the other students for a barbeque. The house was my dream house!! We got to take a tour inside, it was so beautiful and had a wonderful view. After we ate a lot we took a train to Perg and went to the swimming pool again b/c it was so hot.
Friday, 9 July: Last day of school! We only had to go to school for a few hours so they could pick up their report cards...I took the oppurtunity to take a picture of the whole class (below) and of the outside of her school. The picture next to that is of Sophie's sister Lena and her friend on the bus home from school. Later we went to Mukis, a festival where Sophie and her sister Lena danced at...
Later that day (my father's b-day no less) we went to a "School Out" party all night where everyone got drunk, it was a good time...It was weird b/c when they were drunk everyone spoke more English, go figure. My favorite boy (who I might have liked) was Hauns who is the one sleeping in the last picture and the one with very curly hair in another....
Saturday, 10 July: Recovered from the party...lol

Wednesday, 14 July: went bikeriding with (from left) Bettina, Helene, Sophie, and Christina and had a picnic in a forest
Thursday, 15 July: went to a cool indoor waterpark called Aquapulco with Sophie and Christina
Friday, 16 July: Relaxed outside and layed out in the sun then at night went to Aiserfest which was a really cool party in Aiser Castle outdoors.......Sophie's brother, Sebastian, was working as a bartender there and was nice and gave us free drinks and didn't tell Sophie's parents...it wouldn't have mattered much though b/c the legal drinking age is 16 in Austria. We met up with Christine, another one of Sophie's friends, there and also danced a little to some bands that played there.
Saturday, 17 July: Swimming pool in Perg, barbeque with Sophie's family, and later that night went to Linz to see the musical "Porgy and Bess" which was in English!!
Sunday, 18 July: went swimming with her family at the "Attersee" which was this gorgous lake a few hours away and went on a boat which I helped row along with her dad (see boat in pic below)
Monday, 19 July: Went to Vienna!!!! Took a tour of Schonbrunn, went to a cafe there, then walked through the beautiful gardens, and visited a tropical plants house
Nighttime went to a performance at the Vienna International Dance Festival called Sonic Boom performed by dancers from Amsterdam....whoa, it was the weirdest performance ever and sooo painful to watch!!! There wasn't much dancing, some guy had to cut himself three times and get hit for a long time before simon could say stop, he had to show his dick, at one point they all had to undress, and then there was this one scene where they had to suffocate themselves...i can't even talk about it anymore
Tuesday, 20 July:

Hofburg
A "Smart" Car
Butterfly House

Wednesday, July 21: Go home...........
Here are some pictures of Sophie's family which I took a few days ago when I had to say goodbye to her dad, Sebastian, and Max (the little boy who I'm standing next to in the first picture) b/c they weren't coming to Vienna
