CHARACTER
» Name: Hyuuga Hinata
» Fandom: Naruto
» Reference: http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Hinata_Hyuga
» Canon Point: Chapter 282
» Gender: Female
» Orientation: Heterosexual; Where her largely traditional family with a bloodline-based attribute and traditional attitudes might not place her entirely in the realm of heterosexual relations, the fact that there is rarely a Hinata appearance in the manga where she does not express interest in the series' protagonist, Naruto, does. And were that not enough, her direct declaration of love for him in a recent chapter makes that abundantly clear. As to her potential for relations with the opposite gender, there remains little evidence to support or deny interest in other girls as she only seems to maintain contact with one female, Kurenai, her mentor and teacher with whom she shares a sisterly relationship with, and seems to have Naruto-blinders on when it comes to relations to anyone else.

» Personality: Soft-spoken and of a particularly gentle nature, Hinata isn't exactly the first person one might expect to be a ninja. In social interaction, she comes off as hesitant at best, stuttering and anxious to the point of fainting at worst, even amongst those she interacts with on a regular basis-- such as her team members and former classmates. She's been obviously sheltered for much of her life, even by her teammates, and quite weak to verbal attacks that cut to the core of her character.

However, beneath her shy exterior, Hinata is a creature of duty and of an intense need to prove herself. While she often appears weak, easily swayed by the stronger personalities that surround her, Hinata holds her strength in a different way, picking her battles and going beyond even her teammates when it comes to intensity in her training. She doesn't give up easily, even in the face of things she knows she should frightened of, battles she knows are impossible for her to win. Inspired by Naruto, driven by her father's disappointment, but most of all dedicated to carving a path for herself, Hinata often drives herself past the limits of her weak stamina.

It would be remiss to not bring up Naruto in a description of Hinata, as a large part of her character is defined by her interactions with him. Hinata does not see Naruto as a hero. Unlike her female peers, who idolize Sasuke for his untouchability and ability, she is attracted to Naruto not because of his ability, but because of his failures and his way of overcoming them. Almost as if sensing the similarities of their characters, she finds the fact that he is not held back by what he lacks inspirational. She does not see him simply as a love interest, but as someone whose pride and determination she models herself after. However, his position as someone she admires does not mean she does not recognize his faults and perhaps as a reflection of the largely team-based ninja training she has received, she seeks to help him where she can as a show of her affection-- offering him ointment, giving him the opportunity to cheat off of her, and helping him in fights.

However, it is important to remember that while Hinata's affections may be largely commanded by Naruto, she does not focus her attentions entirely on him. A kind girl at heart, Hinata extends similar kindnesses to many of those that she interacts regularly with. Although, as she is not out-going, those kindnesses tend to go towards her teammates and family members. She also is not in the habit of bearing grudges. Even though her father minced no words in regards to her ability, she only takes it as incentive to get better instead of holding it against him. Likewise with Neji's killing intent in their fight together. Even despite his harsh actions and words during their match, Hinata still interacts with him peacefully afterward.

» Appearance: Hinata is a soft-figured girl with small hands, sizable breasts, and wide hips, all usually buried beneath the lightly-colored, bulky jackets and slightly baggy pants she wears when not at her family's estate-- while there she tends to wear darker colored, more traditional clothing. Most notable, though, are her eyes-- a mark of her clan --completely free of color or marking that peek out beneath a thick line of bangs. Around her neck, she also wears the headband that marks her as a member of her village.

This is... a communicator, right? That's what it looks like everyone else is using it for.

I guess, it can't hurt to try, either way, right?

Ah, testing? This is--

Is there anyone here who can help explain what this place is? I think that I'm a little lost.

The unfiltered light that sought out her face with a frustratingly relentless desperation was the first groggy sign that she wasn't where she needed to be. Hinata squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block it out as she reached up to rub at her eyes. In the back of her mind was the vague, telling reminder that her room didn't have this kind of direct light. Her bed-- traditionally set like so much else --did not usually feel this soft.

But all that combined could and likely would usually mean very little. After all, the last thing she could remember was finally seeing him again face-to-unbearably-close-face before she'd blacked out again, something that drew a flush to her cheeks. All that training and she still couldn't handle him much better than she used to. Silly, really, wasn't it? But, seeing him again had been too much of a surprise. And to think he'd remembered...

Well, of course, he'd remember. Naruto wasn't someone who'd forget things like that. Where he put his things, maybe, or the time he was supposed to arrive somewhere. But, Naruto had a way of remembering people, reaching out to people.

Hinata sighed a little at that, glancing down at her folded hands. It was only really, truly then that she noticed she was completely naked.

A shriek and she was stumbling off the bed in a tangle of sheets. This was new. This was very, very new.

She wasn't unused to waking up in strange places after fainting-- those rare times it happened. It was embarrassing and she usually dealt sheepish apologies to whoever had helped her lay down-- even if it was just usually Kiba or Shino. But, this was...

Hinata peeked under the sheet to make sure it wasn't just the jacket that had been removed to relieve pressure.

"What is...," Oh. It hadn't just been that at all. "W- what is this?"
