You're so right.
I need a daily reminder of that, usually i don't stress because i have the same mentality as you, but sometimes things really stink to the point where you feel like you are going to explode. But that just means that God wants you to explode for another day :) haha.

Being unhappy isnt so bad. Jesus was unhappy. God is unhappy alot. Its when you lose your joy that you've lost something you need. The world is full of things that should lead us to unhappiness at times but we as christians know there is a better ending out there and thats why we can still rejoice in our unhappiness. Because Jesus is there with us. Love you buddy.

i completely agree. there is nothing wrong with being unhappy

Ecclesiastes 7
3Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us

no one can be happy all the time, you know that, and things around us make us sad sometimes, you know that...besides -its never good to criticize someones unhappiness because that only makes it worse.

its what you do with your unhappiness that counts.

i am with you on this daniel...its easier for some to say that we shouldnt be unhappy when some people dont have it nearly as bad as others...

im not trying to sound like a jerk ben but i mean your life isnt really that bad compared to others...i know theres the thinkg with your dad and your mom struggles...but its not like you dont see both your parents...and its not like you are abused...mentally or physically....

others have it alot worse

i get what you're saying--but its easy for you to say "dont be unhappy" when things are going good for you. i have A LOT of stuff that i have been taking in over almost a year now, and its finally exploded and i cant take it.

its hard to be happy all the time, even you know this--i've been you in a crappy mood...and it sucks.

im trying to learn from these hard experiences, i know things could be worse...but when you're hurting, you cant help but be unhappy.

i am trying to chose joy, i am. but its really hard when i'm being attacked by like 6 different things...there's only so much a person can take before their strength dwindles.

i love you bennie...thanks for giving me a reason to smile.

Sometimes people sound unhappy in what they write and they're really not. I know with me that's usually the way it is. I just get to thinking and things come out...happy or unhappy...because I often have to write things out in order to 1.)think them through and 2.)get them out of my head. I also agree with Daniel, Jade, and the rest: unhappyness can be ok. Being sad isn't always a bad thing, and often it's necessary. No matter how bad my day has been, at the end of the day I always know that God is on His throne, but that doesn't mean that life can't get to me.

I think you all missed the point...terribly. He wanted to share that when we are sad we need to try to re focus on what really matters. Maybe Ben can't find all the proper words, but I understood his point. How quickly you all jumped on the wrong bandwagon. And I must admit...some of you do dwell in the same place way too long..and ya know what I mean. I am proud of you son for stepping out. I know your heart and those who really know you do too. As far as Ben's "life"...his hurts as just as meaningful as anyone elses. I hate for any of you to hurt..even in the slightest way. Wow...you all disapointed me on this one.

first of all i never said that bens life wasnt as "meaningful"...and no one "jumped to any bandwagon"...

he made a statement that said "Why are any of you guys unhappy? i mean maybe its just me but i dont see whats really to get down about." when in reality there is alot for some people to be unhappy about

Ecclesiastes 7
3Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us

i have already talked to ben about this...i know what he was trying to say...not one person was getting on his case he just said something that others didnt agree with...maybe he worded it wrong or maybe we took it the wrong way...but you have no reason to be disapointed...he voiced his opinion and we voiced ours...i have already talked to ben about this...i know what he was trying to say...
