There is D, in a very lavish bed. Everything in it is of a dark hue--the sheets are blood red and black, the canopy is the same. The bed is made of solid wrought iron, twisted upwards towards the antique gold ceiling. Stained glass depicting some obscure image is seen, briefly, before D looks away, out, towards the side of the room. While everything is dark, the balcony doors are open. The balcony is glowing bright white, the crystal doors and balcony shimmering in the red moon that shines outside.
D stands, heading over towards the balcony, slowly. He pauses as he passes a mirror, looking into it.
He looks like a ghost. He is partially see-through, dressed in a stately white long sleeved shirt with frills, a bunch of lace at his chin and tucked into the top, wrapped around his neck. His face looks lively--younger, perhaps, as if seventeen or so. His hair is flowing around his shoulders, over a white cape with silver clasps. His pants are also white, with white boots, and a sash wrapped around the waist. On the top of his head, there is a silver circlet with a blue jewel in the middle of his forehead.
He stares for a bit.
D walks outside--all you can see are silvery clouds below him, above him, everywhere, nestled in a black sky, and a red moon. His long hair flickers everywhere at the edges of his vision.
D looks down at his hands--
Blood.
He steps back--the balcony becomes covered in it, dripping out from the dark doorway he just came through, over the floor like a small flood, staining the beautiful white shoes he is wearing. The blood flows off the balcony, and soon, voices start filling the air.
"Jump. Jump. Leave this place. Jump. Jump..."
D steps back, the white cape he is wearing trailed through the blood, the color growing darker... darker, staining it black, coloring his boots black, his gloves, his...
The blood on his left hand twists, shapes, until Lefty's face can be seen, grinning.
"Last shot, Junior."
D looked down into the blood--his reflection is seen, Lefty's cackling filling the air. He is dressed in his vampire hunting attire--the white clothes he was wearing all black. The circlet around his head is gone--but, in its place, another blue jewel is present--the blue medallion. It is bigger, however--it glows brightly, flickering electricity in the reflection. The sight seems to scare him, and D turns, running, and jumps--right off the balcony.
He falls.... falls... the clouds pass, space pasts, a gorgeous landscape of cities and desert is seen... the ground closes in--
----
D shoots up in bed, a loud gasp filling the air as he grabs at the medallion, panting. The medallion crackles with electricity as he clutches it. The Dreamberry on the bed glows grey over his face.
Welcome back.
