How's it different from normal fighting? Besides the being in a ring bit and the gloves and scantily clad birds with signs?

Rules. And you're not looking to do lasting damage to your opponent.

So nothing like most of the fights I've been in. What sorts of rules? Past not killing?

Well, with boxing, you're restricted to only using your fists.

You're not allowed to strike below the waist.

Usually, the fight is broken up into rounds, but that's up to the two people fighting.
