Alrighty, it's about time I posted this up. Well here's the story from May 13th, written by me and Nicole-eth. Her parts shall be in regular font (which is a majority of it btw) and mine will be bolded. Oh, an extra note: some of the parts written by me have several errors and missing words and I don't feel like fixing them. =P
Word of the day of Saturday, the thirteenth of May: FREE.
That’s one way to describe that day. Other words:
SURREAL, AMAZING, BIZARRE, INSANE, SPECIAL.
But in every single way, that day is definitely gonna be remembered.
It was me, Ashley, Larica, and Kristel.
We all headed down to Toronto on the GO Bus (after Ashley’s father graciously gave us a ride to the GO station), and we headed on our way, eating some Tropical Skittles and listening to some music, while Kristel asked how we’d know when we had arrived in Toronto. I told her: “Watch out for the sign that says Toronto - Population: Yada Yada”. Heh.
So we arrive in Toronto, and start glancing at a map to figure out where HMV is. A guy walks by us and looks at mine and Ashley’s shirts and asks, “Who are The All-American Rejects?” so we respond, “Oh, it’s a band!” and he asks, “Are they decent?” so we answer, “Of course!” and then he asks, “Are they hunks?” and we laughed and just went, “Um … no?” and then asked him for directions to HMV. Nice man, he gave us such nice directions.
On our way to HMV, we get stopped by this Asian lady on rollerblades who hands us Chewy bars and says they’re NEW! PEANUT-FREE! *gasps* It was insanity.
The walk to HMV took a good 10-15 mintues. We almost got ran over a couple times, okay more like once or twice. People were giving away free chewy granola bars; I ended up having around 6 by the end of the day. As soon as we arrived at HMV we went inside to ask about the wristbands, and it turns out that they were handing them out outside. So headed outside and as the security guard was putting the wristband on me he says, "You know there’s a free Fall Out Boy concert down the street later. Are you guys gonna go to that too?". All four of us look at each other and say "Err....No.". The security guard just looked at us and kinda shrugged it off, I was laughing on the inside. Muahahaha.
So we go to the Eaton’s center, eat some yummy teriyaki (my first and only real meal of the day), and look around for grad dresses. We take some pictures, but not really quite suits our fancy - or it does and it’s just way too goddamn expensive. My apologies, but I am not spending $285.00 on a dress, ya hear?
The overpass to go into The Bay was really cool and had like red lighting, and so we had a photo opt there. We went into The Bay and tried to score some free makeup. Kristel got the sales lady a the Clinque table to do her eyeliner, Larica got one do put eyeshadow on her, I used a whole bunch of their stuff on my own, and Niki tried to pull a Kristel, but ended up getting a business card. Haha. On our way to the washroom we got a free sample of some hand lotion; it smelt very nice.
It’s time to shimmy, so we go on over to the Edge studios, hoping that we’re early but … the place is already pretty packed. Especially since there’s a ‘Wheel of Pride’ contest going on so there’s a car in the middle of the studios. Yeah … that kind of made things a bit cramped, hah.
Outside the Edge: Larica, Ashley in front, Kristel, white girl who is Niki in the back.
But we run into these two girls - Kimberly and Kirby - start talking to them, raise our eyebrows at a few bitchy fans and saying, “Whoa, this isn’t a moshpit!” and then I saw this girl Heather that I met at an AAR show in January, so that was pretty special.
I saw these girls from the AAR concert back in January and I don’t exactly remember how we started talking but I do remember me asking if they were at that concert and saying "Oh yeah! You guys elbowed me in the head like ten million times!". I swear, I didn’t mean to sound like a bitch, and I told them that afterwards. We also chatted it up with them after, and talked about the HMV signing and such.
TOUR BUS!
When AAR finally arrived, I first noticed Shabba wearing a bright red hat. Nicole and I called his name and he turned around looking so clueless...that happened a couple more times throughout the day, it was funny.
So then Tyson and Nick start going ‘round signing autographs, while Chris and Mikey are hanging around in the background talking.
And Larica notices that Tyson just … looks really down. Got that whole puppy dog eye look on. So Larica suggests that I give him this claymation figure of him and his flying-v bass - that goes along with the claymation DVD that we gave to them of them back in January at their concert at the Kool Haus. She rummages around my backpack and asks, “What pouch is he in?” and we decide that’s a very odd question to ask. But we search to find it to give it to him.
And so … we do. And this happens:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rzTXaTTlzw]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rzTXaTTlzwVoices of Ashley and myself (well, more like me laughing) are heard.
I’m just glad we were able to put such a huge smile on Tyson’s face after all his pouts.
Ty talking to us and reminscing about the claymation. :)
We didn’t even expect him or the rest of the guys to remember the DVD we gave them...but he did. I know that his reaction could of been faked, but I honestly and truly believe that he meant because he seemed to be much happier after.
We tried to get Nick’s attention but he was pretty busy signing autographs but then Mikey starts rolling around to sign le autographs, so we hurry to get him out of my bag (the claymation figure, not actually Mike) and give it to him.
His reaction:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqwAVLuEwgc]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqwAVLuEwgcI can’t believe they remembered it. And thought the claymation figure was amazing, hah.
RAWR! Darn blurriness. But very nice, nevertheless. :)
Woot!
We didn’t have a chance to give Nick and Chris their’s and so we decided to head on over to HMV to save our place in line for the signing.

It looks like there's a light saber in this pic, HAH.
Mikey!
There were NO photographs allowed once you got up to the table, according to the lady who worked there, and we could only get one thing signed each ... but no matter; me and Ashley had our gifts for the AAR lads all sorted through and ... we knew it was gonna be awesome.
Out of my and friends I was the first in line to see the guys. So I go to Mike first and I give him my CD to sign and I talked to him and said stuff like "Hi" and I did the same for Ty. I asked them both for pictures at the MOD taping later and they both said sure....but that didn’t happen, oh well. When I got down to Chris I started the same conversation I did with Ty and Mike but...well it went like this:
ME: Oh, I have a little something for you too.
*I take out this Yoga book I bought him and place in front of him*
ME: It’s just a little something.
CHRIS: *smiles/sighs (in the good way of course)* Aw thank you, give me hug!
*Chris stands up and reaches out for me*
*I had to climb up to onto the table to hug him*
*We hugged*
And then the security guard kinda had to help me down since I’m freaking short.
After that I went on over to Nick Wheeler.
ME: Hi, I have a something for you too.
*I place the clay mini Nick in front of him*
ME: It’s kinda broken, but if from that claymation dvd...remember that?
NICK: *laughs* Oh yeah, it was awesome.
ME: And I have something else for you too.
*I place two Muppet books in front of him*
NICK: *laughs* Aw, that’s so sweet. Thank you.
And while he said that he was doing that cute lil' face he does....*sigh*
Meanwhile, I'm heading up to Mikey:
NIKI: Hey, you! I've got a little something for you.
*hands over Dr. Pepper lipchap*
MIKEY: Oh wow, that is so awesome!
NIKI: Yeah ... it moisturizes your lips, thought you mind enjoy that.
MIKEY: *raises hand for a high five, which then turns into a handshake type thing* Thank you so much! *signs my poster* That is way too cool!
That put a smile on my face.
But not as much as when I went up to Tyson ...
So I head on over and Mikey passes on the poster to him.
NIKI: Hey, Ty.
*places book on table*
NIKI: *continued* I saw this at a bookstore and ... I immediately thought of you, so I thought you'd like to have it.
TY: *gasps and reaches over* Oh wow ...
He then flips it to the inside cover, where I wrote:
Hey Ty,
Thought you might like this book of 'state-of-the-art' magic tricks to add to the kickass collection of tricks you've already mastered. Please, do not harm yourself while performing any of these, heh.
Thanks for being an inspiration & keep on rockin'!
Yours truly, Niki
I see his eyes skimming through that part that I wrote and he looks up and goes:
TYSON: Wow ... that is so sweet, that is so thoughtful of you. Aww ... geez, thank you!
NIKI: Not a problem! You're welcome! I'll see you at MuchMusic tonight!
TYSON: Wait ... you're not coming to the show?
NIKI: I wish I was -- the tickets sold out before I got a chance to buy 'em!
TYSON: *gasps* Well, that's no good ...
So he grabs the book I gave him and puts it on a shelf behind the table he's sitting at and then ... reaches further down and SLIPS TWO TICKETS ONTO THE TABLE. He winks at me, and smiles, while another girl is approaching for autographs.
NIKI: Oh .. my ... thank you, thank you so much!
TYSON: *smiles further* Anytime.
Price: $0.00 Oh Tyson, you rock.
I was honestly completely stunned ... when I headed over to Chris and Nick I just made light talk about their claymation figures that were sitting on the table next to them and told Chris that I liked his bandanna. But ... goddamn, it was SO surreal.
I’m guess that while I was talking to Nick the whole thing with Niki and Tyson was going on...I didn’t notice since I was all happy that Nick and Chris liked their gifts. The security made me move off to the side, but I saw that something was going on and so I waited to the rest of my friends. When we were all done I asked what was going on since Niki looked like she was gonna pass out or something. When she told me that Tyson gave her two free tickets I was in shock. Like, who does that? We didn’t even do anything spectacular or remotely special. Anyways, we both started to cry...I was crying like a little baby, all tears of joy of course. I called my mom and cousin to tell them what had happened. I must of been crying in the middle of HMV for a good 10 minutes, it was probably more than that. Well after that, we decided to walk on over to MuchMusic since we only had about 15 minutes before we had to be there.
We get to MuchMusic, get REALLY nice seats inside, and then practice SCREAMING our heads off for TV. It was pretty awesome. They started playing the "Move Along" music video me, Larica, Kristel, and Ashley all started singing along and doing the 'hands are shaking cold' movements and shouting 'Go on, go on' ... sure, everybody in the studio thought we were nuts, but it was AWESOME, hah.
So then AAR walks in and the first thing that happens is Nick waves over at me ... which I thought was pretty precious.
Us on TV!
To be honest, it was really hard to hear the interview and so I was laughing at things and I didn’t really get why they were funny. During the commercial breaks we tried to get the attention of the guys. We kinda managed to, but I really wanted to get pictures with them and thank them for the tickets and hopefully ask for two more for Larica and Kristel (by that point they told us just to go without them).
The best part was, the lads went around to sign autographs right before they were setting up for their performance AND Tyson walks by us and recognizes me and points and goes, "Heeeeey!!" I wanted him to linger a bit so I could thank him again but he headed off for mic check. Which was absolutely freaking hilarious.
Tyson was all like, "Finally, we're alone" into the mic. Then went, "Ladies, I dimmed the lights just the way you wanted them. Do you like it?" Then he shouted into the microphone, "Hola!" so I shouted back, "ARRIBA!" Yes, I was spontaneous.
I did manage to get pictures with Pete and Patrick from FOB which was pretty snazy. I also managed to give all of AAR high fives as they walked out to greet fans outside and I gave high fives to everyone in FOB except Joe (he was holding his mis with both hands). Anyways, AAR’s performance was awesome and what they were doing during the commercial break was hilarious, Tyson sang about Molsen beer. But yes, all in all the MOD taping kicked ass; the interview with AAR was way better than the FOB one; DLS sounded amazing, and I’ve never been on TV so many times before. =) Oh yeah, during the performance I could of sworn that Tyson was looking right at me and so I mouthed the words "Thank you" to him.
BEST PART of the performance, hands down. :)
After the MOD taping Niki and I parted ways with Larica and Kristel, but not before taking another group picture and lots of hugs. Niki and I took a taxi down to Ricoh Coliseum. We got there about 45 minutes late and October Fall was already performing. We found a really good spot, the closest stands to the mosh pit on the lest side of the stage. October Fall was amazing even though we only managed to catch the last 3 songs.
Then, lo and behold, NICK FOXER walks by! Wowsers, it was pretty awesome.
He's walking by so I shout out, "FOOOOXEEEEER!" and he turns around and goes, "You know who I am?" so I shout back, "Of course I do!" and he just beams and goes, "You just made my night."
So me & Ash talk to him for a while; explain how we want to thank Tyson for the tickets, ask him how everything's going, and he tells us a secret, which I promised to keep a dirty little secret. Surprisingly, he laughed rather than groaned.
Then we got some pics!
TAKE ONE: half my face cut off.
TAKE TWO: Foxer didn't seem to like this one, heh.
TAKE THREE: bingo!
When AAR finally came on I was so excited. They were amazing, they had great interaction with the audience. We had a great view and I could of sworn that Chris and Foxer looked at me couple of times.
It was pretty flipping awesome. Everytime Tyson would shout "Toronto" while singing I'd get so exciting. The weird thing is, it didn't hit me that we were ACTUALLY there until "It Ends Tonight". Then ... I started crying. It was just ... so amazing.
IT ENDS TONIGHT:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihNfkWWAmdw]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihNfkWWAmdw Yes, my camera's quality sucks, HAH.
Ty giving plaques to the crew. I gave an extra special shout for Foxer and Kadaver, hah.
After their set, we decided to go over to merch and then stakeout their tour bus. I bought the white tour shirt and Niki bought a pink one and we ended up getting changed into them after.
We went outside trying to find our way to all the tour buses. We ended up walking behind the lead singer of October Fall, but since we didn’t know his name we just stayed behind him and said stuff like "Ya, you’re cool! ....Awesome performance...Hi", and then he got into some van, ha. But yeah, we were walking on the side of the street where all the tour buses were, but then a security guard made us cross the street. I don’t remember who came out first, but I’m pretty sure it was Tyson. When I first saw him I wasn’t sure if it was him or not so I didn’t say anything....we learned after that it was him. Hmmm...who came out next? Let’s just say it was Foxer again. Well we called out his name and came over to talk to us again. He asked for our names again but I was okay, I found it funny..and cute. We told him how were waiting for the guys to come out so that we could say thank you properly and he gave us tips on how to entice the guys over to us...funny shiznap right there.
FOXER: Ya gotta ... have intensity in your voice. PULL 'em over, ya know.
ME: Like this? *mimicks pulling a rope* TYYYYY-SOOOOOOON.
FOXER: Yeah, exactly, that intensity ... is good.
ASHLEY: So next time, we'll just call 'em over with enticing.
ME: Like this? *shouts out* FOOOO-XEEEEEER.
FOXER: Freaking flipping yes.
These girls saw us talking to him and so they just run up to him, but then October Fall’s vans drives up and stops. Foxer stopped to say "Hi" and so we said "Hi" too and the guys from at the back were banging at the window and so I waved at them, ‘twas funny. Those girls just kinda forgot about Foxer and started going crazy over October Fall and so we just kept on talking to him. Foxer is a pretty snazy dude. When he had to go he shook our hands again, making sure he knew our names. Oh snap, Chris came out before Foxer....’cause I yelled his name and waved back at me and the then we saw him again after Foxer left. Well, the second time we saw him, we did the whole "enticing" technique and he waved back and I yelled "Thank you for the tickets!" as he was walking away. Nothing great happened after that, since the show ended everyone was coming around back where we were and so security was going all crazy on everyone.
Now that was a pain. Darn security guard douchebags, hah.
We tried to write note to give to one of the security guards to give to the guys, but one them walked behind us until we were a far distance away from the tour bus....but ended up crossing the street. Once we crossed the street another security guard made us and a couple other people go away and after that we decided that we better head to the GO BUS station to go back to Hamilton. We boarded the bus back to Hamilton at 11:20 and the bus driver almost gave me a heart attack when he joked around saying that the bus was headed to Newmarket and not Hamilton. Anyways, we arrived back in Hamilton a little bit after midnight and we took the city bus back onto the mountain. All in all, that day was probably one the best days of my life....the other day was the first day I met AAR...so woot. The End.
Yeah, what she said. *happily sighs*
THANK YOU AAR, and especially TYSON & FOXER!
