Curiosity got the better of me & all. necro_nerdo uploaded it to her LJ, so I've just watched it there.

I'm thinking this could be a better direction for Eurovision to take...

It is cringe-worthy, I agree. Although I can't be too critical because I have been known to watch the odd reality telly music programme... :)

No, I'm not much of a one for "televised music spectacle" or however one might describe it. My co-workers come in and gush about American Idol and so on, and it's just like static rushing through my ears. Give me costume drama, (GOOD) comedy, or a clever mystery instead. (Just got the first disc of Taggart from Netflix and started watching it last night...)
