Never Want It To End.

Since returning to lj, I've been trying to get more involved with my f-list and talk to people, which is something I never really did back in the day when I was on here all the time. And while that was going well all the other week, it has sort of grinded to a halt again. But, alas! This is simply because I am caught up in the most incredible of ( Read more... )

FFFF I LOVE THAT FIC SO MUCH. I'm in the middle of my fourth reading. I just keep going back to it and she's always updating with codas, so it's like it never ends!

IT'S JUST PERFECT.
Oh yeah, man, its definitely one I'll re-read forever and ever, but seriously... I will sob when I get to the end. D:

IT IS.

I had that feeling of "what do I do now?" and sat in front of my laptop for about ten minuets before I realized what I was doing.

I know. I've always been bad at talking to people, even online. I'm THAT self-conscious! Bleurgh!

I'm not really good with commenting either. or updating for that matter.

I've heard of Tired and Wired, & a lot of people say it's good, but I'm worried about not liking it because I have such high expectations now.

I really should learn the names of more of the cast members because I had to Google 'Jacob Pitts'.

Snafu's smile in that icon is gorgeous.
& I really should invest in more HBO war miniseries icons.

I know, I'm trying to get better, but I just have this 'I'm the most uncool person in the world' complex.

As for T&W, I've never liked AU fics, so that's a testament to how good it is, for me. It's as if this girl has made the characters all her own.
What has set your expectations so high, then?

Ahahah don't worry, still don't know half of the cast members names. I still have trouble telling which character is which when watching the actual series! In my defence... Bill Leyden, Sid & Hoosier all look pretty alike at first! It's the blonde hair!

And I know, right? He's just too handsome.
I have a Sledge one, too, that I hardly use, so I'm banging it out on this occasion! :)

I'm just really not that interesting, & I rarely do anything worth documenting.

I have high expectations because of how many people say it's so good. the whole of the HBO war fandom seems to love this fic, so I'm cautious. I had high expectations for The Shoebox Project in the HP fandom because of most people I came across saying how great it was, but I didn't read past the first chapter.
in my experience:
(high) expectations + reality = disappointment

I knew the guy who played Bill Leyden from something else, so that wasn't too difficult. but the first time I watched it, I couldn't keep track of Sid or Hoosier either. (or Ack-Ack or Hillbilly.) I don't even think I knew all of their names until something major happened to them.

random fact that you probably already know #1: on my first watch, I was so completely mesmerized by Snafu that I IMDB'd him, & it turns out he was the Pharaoh in Night of the Museumrandom fact that you probably already know #2: on my first watch, Sledge looked annoying familiar but I couldn't place where I ( ... )

Awh, don't be so hard on yourself, man. I'm sure you're plenty interesting, but I know what you mean about rarely having anything worthwhile to document.

Ah, I see. You should definitely give it a try though. If you like it, then you'll be hooked to the end. If not, then no harm done! :)

Ahahah your random facts, I do indeed already know, simply for the fact that I did them as well. I was slightly horrified by the Night at the Museum realization, and squeed my pants off at the Jurassic Park one, which had been nagging at me for weeks - I just couldn't let myself give in and IMDB it!
