Dream ⊗ 014 ⊗ Looks like a storm's brewin'

[PUBLIC]

They were fighting. Two lone figures out in the desert for who knows why: a young, beautiful woman with a deadly blade, and an old soldier covering her from a higher elevation with a rain of arrows that pierced their targets.

Surrounding them were an assortment of monsters, a mix of those of his world and those of this world. A sand shark rose high into the air before it first got pushed back by one of Raven's artes -- Wind's Howl, where the arrow suddenly turned into blast of wind energy -- and slashed by Cornelia's sword.

When they were finished, Raven wiped his brow. "Phew. Talk about a workout."

As she flung her blade to the side, the blood and gore splattering the already blood-soaked sand, she just looked up at him with an arched brow. "You're not getting tired are you?" she smirked.

He returned it. "Me? Tired? I may be an old man, but I still got quite a bit left in me." He ignored the by now all too familiar small pang coming from his chest."Though takin' a break every now and then wouldn't be that bad," he chuckled.

Cornelia just shook her head, hiding the small smile that flitted across her lips. The moment was broken, however, when the sand erupted, a giant sand worm emerging with its mouth wide open as it emitted it's unearthly wailing.

Though he shouted to her, everything seemed to slow down. And it wasn't because he was using Stop Flow. No, not now, damn it! He quickly shook his head, regaining his focus and ignoring the pain that was increasing with every passing second. As Cornelia fought from the ground, he quickly jumped and with a flick of his wrist, changed his bow to its bladed form.

As the tip bit into its hard flesh and he dragged it down to form a deep slicing cut, he could hear the beat of his heart in his ears. Again, he ignored it as he jumped back, ready to perform his Mystic Arte.

But he couldn't.

He could hear Cornelia scream his name, and he could faintly see her from the corner of his eye as he fell from the high height, but he couldn't move. He was paralyzed.

And now there were other voices calling his name as plunged into a black void. Yuri, Estelle, Judith, Rita, Karol, the barks of Repede. Those silly, but ever noble knights that followed his beck and call, calling him by that silly name. It's Raven, jeez. It was all drowned out by the slowing beat of his heart and the pain that wracked his body.

Brief flashes of blurred faces. Red, blue, yellow, white. And then one last face, the one who caused all of this.

[This part is only audible/viewable to those who really know him, otherwise it's just cut off]

"Alexei," he growled before fading out, his red blastia beating. Just like a heart should be.

[sits up abruptly covered in sweat and breathing hard, a hand automatically going to the right side of his chest as he tried to control himself. after a moment, he looks out the window as he could hear the sand worms still singing their haunting songs before silencing. he just glances at the glowing screen of his Dreamberry before putting on a half grin.]

Man, with those things goin' on, it's a wonder anyone could sleep.
