If it were nighttime, the people of Tokyo would have bore witness to a spectacular sight: a mobile suit entering the atmosphere, the friction from atmospheric entry making it appear as a shooting star. However, since it was daytime, the sun outshone the friction.

Several minutes later, a plane-like object descended from the sky. The Zeta Gundam, in Waverider mode, its surface still hot from re-entry, continued dropping in altitude until it was about twenty meters from the ground. At that point, it transformed into its humanoid form, and landed not too far from Cherudim.

"So I'm not the first one here, huh?" came Kamille's voice. He wasn't using the voice channel at the moment, instead opting for the open speakers.

ARK descended onto the battlefield soon after, it's frame in much better shape now that it was properly equipped for the reentry process. It landed next to the other mechs and L'Angley's voice came over the speakers.

"Sorry if I'm late, gentlemen. Shall we get started?"

Lyle sat up in his cockpit once the others were there. "You won't get any delays from me."

Cherudim dropped from it's rigid standing pose to a crouch, pulled out its rifle, and dashed to cover behind a nearby building. "Watch my back, Haro!"

"Roger! Roger!"

Cherudim leaned around the corner of a building, swung up its GN Rifle, switched on aiming mode, and started scanning for targets.

The Zeta Gundam fired its reverse thrusters, moving to the nearest cover -- a pile of rubble -- and dropped down into a squatting position. After making sure the beam bayonet was turned off, Kamille began surveying the area in all directions, while at the same time remaining alert for the sound of an enemy getting a lock on him.
