Not Goblin troubles. Artemis Fowl. Goblins themselves aren't a threat, but when he's arming them with battery-charged softnose lasers, then things go wrong.

What makes you so sure that it's Artemis? Other than, you know, the kidnapping and goldlust and all of those things.

He's the only human to date--well, himself and his employees--to come in contact with the People and not be rewarded with a Mind Wipe. He's the only one that's won.

On top of that, goblins aren't smart enough to consider using batteries like mudman firearms' magazines. A mudman, on the other hand, would definitely come up with the idea. Artemis is the only one who has the means to come up with the idea and execute it.

Yeah . . . usually they're not a problem, since goblins are only smart enough to perform the basic automatic functions, which is why we're looking into human involvement.
