Well, I guess it could be worse. It's almost sad, I probably never would've realized what day it was if I hadn't gotten the poem. Not like it really matters anyway.

Next thing I know it'll be the end of March and I wouldn't have a clue.

too tired to care

And Singles Awareness Day claims another victim. Tragic, isn't it?

Even better, just zombie your way through winter entirely and wake up on Easter. Just in time for the chocolate eggs and whatnot.

Same as it is every year, I sorta ignore it these days.

But if I do that I'll miss my twenty-fifth birthday completely... [D:]

[There's a faint, amused huff as Mika smiles wryly.] Happy Valentines day, Seth.

That's okay, I don't have any presents for my little brother, either. Sorry, Seth.

...I'm sorry I forgot myself. Valentine's Day's never been a big thing where I'm from. Mainly because there's not exactly time to celebrate it anyways...

Wanna do something to make up for it?

Eh, I usually don't pay much attention to it aside from getting candy.

Like what?

[he just shrugs]

I don't know - what do people generally do on that day?

I dunno, send cards to each other? It's a day for celebrating love and intimate affection, but people usually use it as an excuse to get more chocolate and candy. It's sort of a huge day for people who are dating, but people also use it as a way to tell how much they appreciate their friends and family as well.

That's time for you. One minute you're presenting roses to your wife, the next minute you're having your fingers snapped off at the joints.

Not everyone has such colorful memories.

[He doesn't seem to be listening.]

Grear and I never really put much stock in Valentine's day... really... but I'd still show up at her door with those roses, just like clockwork.

Weird what habit does to you...

[Color Mika surprised. She didn't really think Michael the sort to do that kind of thing. Talk about being shocked near-speechless.]

No kidding.

Annabell Lee for you, and The Raven for me.

Interesting choices.
