Thanks so much for all the answers to my first round of questions. Please don't anybody think they've been negative or put me off or made it sound gross. I'd much rather hear other people's stories which are honest about hating parts of pregnancy or being ill or whatever. I feel a lot more reassured about pooping in labour now though!

glad it didn't freak you. keep in mind if you really REALLY explained having a period to an adult it would freak them out to, but it is do-able...

Thanks for posting those! I learned a lot, actually. For instance, I did not know (despite my mom being a doula, and despite being in the delivery room for three of my siblings' births) that pooping during labor is a Thing. My mom loved being pregnant, she loved giving birth, she has resolutely refused to acknowledge anything uncomfortable or gross about it for my whole life! Hippie. Anyway: I was relieved because within the span of just a few moments, I learned simultaneously that it happens (a fact that caused mild horror) and that it is no big deal (a fact that totally quelled my horror). Thank baby jebus for internet friends!

I am so thankful for them too, for many many reasons. I have another list of questions in preparation, if you want me to add anything, let me know!
