You should really add Written on the Body by Jeanette Winterson. Also, Possession by A.S. Byatt (also a movie).

I'll start thinking of possible additions- but I'd like to just say holy shit I'm jealous of you class. Though I've some of what you chose...they're AMAZING and I'd imagine the others are on the same level.

maybe i'd just like having you as my teacher, or perhaps i'd appreciate being an annoying student to you :)
