The next iteration of the Mac OS ("Mojave") is leaving my seven-year old iMac in the dust. Apple has announced that the new software will not support iMacs made before 2012 - and, of course, I bought my system in 2011. I feel your pain. I know that my desktop computer upgrade to El Captain caused a lot of screw ups on software that I had. I've managed to get around it for the most part, but my Mac Mini is now seven years old too and I fear it's not going to last much longer. I'm debating on buying a new one, but the new operating software is likely going to do the same thing again.

And the AHG is stunning! Those eyes! :)

The Mac Mini has always been a tough one for me. It always seemed like a compromise on Apple's part to put out a lower-cost desktop configuration when they didn't really want to (perhaps to avoid cutting into iMac sales?). And they haven't really supported the Minis either, so I feel your pain.
