First time I saw toilet paper folded into a point so it's easy to pick up and looks great I was swooning!

hehe. yeah. also means they can see at a glance if any of them have been touched, and which ones might need checking.

but yeah, those little things, boy howdy they go a long way..

(the OMG-need-sleep hotel I stayed at the other night kicked the pointed-folded ends up a notch by adding a sticker, so you really know noone has uh, used your toilet? since housekeeping was there. Robes, I discovered are a wonderful touch; and nice pillows and bed linen, after weeks of ordinary to mediocre are so so nice.)

I'm so glad someone else notices [/ gets really, really excited about] all the little things in hotels. (Curved shower curtain rails have definitely been giddily remarked upon in the past.) Best on your travels!
