Thank you. For ending that. You should have done it to start with.

[Private to Howie]I...I don't think I've ever made a mistake that big. Even when I drank human blood, I've never, ever, ever had holy water burn me. I've never made a mistake where God hated me enough that he burnt me with His touch ( Read more... )

I did say that from the start. I've got a bit of experience being an unholy dead thing, after all.

You all right?

You were right.

...no.

...Look, don't be too hard on yourself. You weren't you.

Got a bit of experience in that to.

But it's my fault I ended up not being me.

We all resort to desperate measures to be more human, sometimes. I have made similar mistakes.

I hope that you are recovering well.

I suppose. I don't see what you could have done that would've been as bad as this.

When I was incapable of acknowledging them, my brother offered me the opportunity to experience human emotions and I accepted it. Only he also disabled my moral protocols without me knowing, and the only emotions he supplied me with were related to anger. He convinced me to torture my best friend for hours, and it very nearly culminated in his death.

Even having been forgiven, one of the failings of a perfect memory is the ability to review the incident precisely in retrospect and feel just as terribly each time. However, with patience I was eventually capable of handling emotions. [Mostly...]

I see. I suppose it does sound very similar.

I...killed Persephone.

...You know, the weird thing is I talked to a death knight- one of those things that Arthas is, that seemed to have a pretty good head on his shoulders.

But we can't run the risk of someone runnin' around and infecting people with fuck knows what diseases.

I agree. Although now I wish I knew how he retained his sanity...maybe he just had more wits in his head to start with.

Maybe he just had a strong will. Yours, I get the feeling, has had the shit battered out of it by a lot of idiot people that don't know how to handle something different.

For as much as I like my species, it has its faults.

I see. That makes perfect sense, then.

He told me that it would make me not be hungry for days. He also told me it would give me enhanced senses and night vision, but I ignored that. I didn't know it would actually turn me into a Death Knight though, I just figured his blood had weird effects. I suppose I should have known, I was at the one zombie port, but if I see someone drink a beer while I don't expect it to have the usual effect of water, I don't expect them to turn into fermented barley.

I thought this was the same. Like...fermented blood.

I wonder if that was the blood the Bible was referring to, not animal blood at all. It would make more sense, after all, and most readers would have that as their only temptation to drink blood, creatures like Arthas trying to make more of themselves.

I'd like that, thank you. I can return it once I get back to my room.
