The Homer Mill (O9/25/2009)

After we dejectedly left Jackson’s Underground, we ventured further into mid-Michigan to the small village of Homer, Michigan, which is about 20 miles from Battle Creek in Calhoun County.  This was a 100 mile drive from Monroe, but we were almost half way there since we were already in Jackson earlier in the night.  So, ( Read more... )

The employee I talked to did not say that the third level was closed for safety reasons in fact he refuted that point. He said that it was closed because they took some of the props and animatronics to Jackson's Underground. Also, Homer isn't in mid-Michigan, I suppose it'd be described as being near Michigan's western boarder. And finally, while the Homer Mill was one of the best haunts of the '08 season, I never said that it was the best. That distinction went to House of the Dead of TerrorTown, I think you might need to freshen up on your Hallowblog history, my friend.

I would like to affirm that Calhoun County is in mid-Michigan by geographic definitions (refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Lower_Michigan_Region_Map.png). However, geographic regions are subjective nonetheless. As far as the minuscule errors in my report, I'll fix those as soon as I start receiving paychecks for these. Until then, expect trivial errors that don't affect the overall integrity of said reports.

As you said, geographic regions are subjective which was really the point of my comment because colloquially mid-Michigan typically refers to the Saginaw, Claire, Mt. Pleasant, and Midland areas. But yes I understand that Homer would be described as being in the middle of the state's southern region.

I don't remember anyone asking you to write such reviews, I assume you are writing them of your own volition for the purposes of your own and your readers' amusement. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the posts but by the simple act of posting them on the freakin' internet I think a few harmless corrections from time to time are nothing to get offended over.

Journalism of any type should be treated as a paragon of truth and thus any error, no matter how trivial, should be addressed.

Oh and ah...aweeeeeeel.

My fanbase is about as large as yours, but we need not be in a competitive nature regarding the three people that will glance at our pages. However, the check came in the mail, and I will respond by correcting the frivolous mistakes that you pointed out. But yes, the aweeeeeeel needs no correction!
