So, I just ordered three copies of trivial pursuit off of Best Buy for 19.99 each. One for myself, one for Kevin, and one for the man...JOSH WEBB (and Becca, but she's not the man... (sorry)). When we all split our seperate ways this fall the one thing that will be uniting us all together again will be Xbox live! Pretty pathetic, but hey, we're ( Read more... )

insects.

because yesterday i saw a dead kitten in a parking lot and there were a ton of bugs eating it from the inside out.

clearly, the insects won.

Yes, but who feeds on the insects later...Birds.

I would argue with this. How was the kitten killed in the first place? Surely the insects did not kill it, they just came after to reap the benefits of the dead kitten.

I agree with the fairy. I doubt the insect actually had the "gut" (haha) to kill the kitten. Maybe they did, but they're just known to be scavengers is all.

The insects. Why you ask? It's very simple. Insects could give the animals diseases. Like a mosquito could give all of them west nile. Thats just an example of course I know there are many more creative diseases out there...I just cant think of them.

Before anyone else posts, I would just like to point out that there are marine animals as well.

But I don't think mosquitos sit around plotting, "ok guys, let's contract west nile virus and then infect some animals!"

I think a battle between insects and animals would be a fierce battle but I think all parties have made good arguments. Josh made that point about how quickly mosquitos reproduce. Though rapids are also speedy in their reproduction I believe they are slower than mosquitos. I think the time from conception to birth for rabbits is indeed longer than that for mosquitos. Plus, rabbits alone could not win this battle. They would not be eating the insects, instead they would be busy with grass. Indeed, that would be an interesting war, perhaps we could get a controlled environment to test this out.

Yes, but if enough rapits ate all of the vegitation, where would the food for so many insects be found? Also, if you have seen Monty Python's "search for the holy grail" you would see just how fierce a rabbit can be.

Have you seen those giant Brazillian jumping spiders? They could take out a Siberian Timber Wolf in no time at all, my money's on the Spiders.

Sure, but all the birds could take out the spiders. My money's on them birds.

But they jump, I tell you ! They jump!

Also: We still up for video-game playing this even-ing?

Bec gave me the go-ahead to play without her, and she'd catch up later.

I'll tell you who should win: animals. Insects are gross. They're all legs and slithery and skittery and bite you when you don't know it and leave scratchy red marks on you and they're wrong. They're so wrong.

But because I'm such a huge supporter of the animals winning, the insects would probably win.

Also, you don't know this until now, but every time I use this icon, it reminds me of you.

But insects have outlasted every creature on this planet! There's no way any form of animal alliance could wipe out the entire insect population, its just impossible. Look at the Elephants, they have an insanely long gestation period, but the mosquito? They're army making machines !

Yes, but no one mates like rabbits!

I didn't say animals were going to win. I just think they should win. Because insects are bastards. Blood-sucking bastards.
