Wow, I certainly didn't expect this and I don't like this development of the story either. Everything feels just wrong!
Sure, disappointment and anger and hurt must have hit Fernando really hard, especially after he had decided to start a new life with Steven and wanted to surprise him with his plan. And I know when, after being hurt, you may feel this aching desire in your stomach to hurt back and you find yourself unable to resist this desire. But this usually ends in a circle of hurting each other and leaves both parties broken. It's always sad when a good relationship has to end like this, maybe Steven and Fernando will never be able to look back at their relationship without feeling betrayed.
Also, the sex may have destroyed the friendship between Sergio and Fernando. Poor Sergio...he wanted Nando, but certainly not like this... They are all colleagues, what's going to happen when Xabi, Sergio and Nando will meet up for work again?

well yes pretty much. Sometimes break ups aren't done privately in silent hurt & mourning, sometimes it's very hot & explosive & damaging & sometimes it's done by the people you don't expect. Fernando has a lot of issues, which you will see eventually, and he's far from perfect, in fact no one is perfect here.
