I'm so happy for you- both the job & move! I can't wait to hear all about it. Of course, I'm being selfish, too- with you in the DSM area, it'll (in theory, at least) be easier to get together with you when I'm back in town.

I'll send up an extra special prayer for the boss and co-workers, too.

I'll forgive you. But only if you and Andy show up at Con on the eve of the 15th when you get off work. Nicole and Kate will be coming too. So it would be sad if you missed out.

The problem is the movers are scheduled to arrive at my place at 8:30am, and my coworkers have insisted (not shitting you... I didn't really want one) on a going-away party that night. Is there any way you guys could come up here?

If it's your going away party, then I'd think you'd be able to insist that they have it on some other night than Friday, since you said a week or so ago when we talked about this the first time that you would come down. Tell them you already have plans for Fri night and that they need to pick a diff night.

And as much as I'd make the trek north, I haven't seen the schedule for con yet, I have no idea when everyone else is arriving on Friday, so I have no idea how it would work out to try and get X amount of people together, at one time, to migrate up to CR. It's far easier to get 2 people to one place, than ~15 to another.

Yeah, turns out the party is going to have to be earlier than that, simply b/c there's a football game on Friday night that could cause the 10 to run late (like... midnight). The good news is I only have a tiny 1/2 hour show to put together that night, so I can probably duck out earlier than planned. Now I just REALLY need to bust my ass to make sure I'm entirely packed by Friday night.
