Eggman is Kazooie's favourite new target villain! She can't just let him stand there and get his butt handed to him. Even if he's annoying and loud and annoying. And loud.
So those Goombas are getting Wing Whacked across the face. One of the little brown mushroom-acorn-guys goes flying from the attack before vanishing in a starburst.]
So even these little guys can kick your butt, huh?

To be honest, though, that slap was pretty cool. Like Klungo and his potion-throwing, he was accurate at that. But Kazooie's not letting that on anytime soon.]
So is it just these dumb brown things or are there more things to pound into paste?

We should probably head back to the village and find out what's going on. If there's more monsters, perhaps you can satisfy your lust for violence on the way.

[Kazooie shrugs casually. Worlds blending into themselves actually isn't entirely new to her - and she's seen weirder things. Like Cloud Cuckooland.

[Kazooie sidesteps the large wasp - narrowly avoiding the ground that has suddenly turned into part of a large pinkish mountain, complete with several floating islands flanking its sides - and spits out a Fire Egg without even flinching.]
Cloud Cuckooland, huh? Been awhile. I sure hope Canary Mary isn't here!

["Floating island" might ping Eggman - but of course, most floating islands that he's aware of don't have wacky music playing incessantly.
If Kazooie hears the music, she doesn't seem to react. Instead, she starts picking her way across the platform.]
Try not to fall off, okay, Doc? I don't wanna scrape you off the rocks or anything.
[She's only half-kidding.]

How can this be? Aren't you phased by the world changing before our eyes?
[Eggman walks on, heading for... somewhere. He doesn't even know where he's going.]
Is this illusion, or, or are we being teleported? Or-
[Cha-ching! Several flat creatures pop up from the ground before the pair. Instinctively, Eggman gives one a good kick as it appears right in front of him. What the hell?]

[Currently they're inside the giant island in the middle. It's hollow, full of differently coloured platforms and shelves of rock seemingly smashed together at random. A central, short spiral pillar has a peculiar pair of pads, as well as a hypnotically-swirling pad nearby it. Sheets of jelly wall and other unorthodox things stud the walls at random.
The Flatso nearest Kazooie charges up to her, tottering on two-dimensional feet like a giant cardboard stand-up figure as it tries to smack Kazooie with the sausage it wields. She simply Wing Whacks it, twirling like some birdy ballerina and striking it with the blunt side of a wing, and it explodes into light.]
Stupid Flatso.

[Eggman just watches Kazooie beat up on the other beast, which seems to be concentrating on her. He's actually observing her fighting moves so he can plan against them at a later date.]
Flatso? Is that what those are called? [Eggman strikes a boxing pose and looks out for other enemies.] This is part of your world, is it?

No duh, Doc. Like I'd know the name of it if it wasn't!
[Kazooie doesn't usually bother to learn things if they aren't important to her. And in terms of butt-kicking, being able to know what places are called helps - so it's important.]
Sheesh. Now I gotta wonder how dumb your world is.

[She cocks her head slightly.] It'll probably just... kinda happen, like the rest of it has.

[And speak of the devil, or whatever. Ahead, there's a chasm, and the landscape beyond it is vastly different from this place... Though it might be hard to work that out since Cloud Cuckoo land is pretty random. Still, the scenery ahead is somewhat familiar to Eggman... Giant rock formations resembling pumpkins on stalks, even with scary faces carved into them.]

Well, I suppose so. There's a place that looks like this, if I recall, although I've not really been there. Just seen it in passing.
[Eggman is NOT rapping.]
Still, I don't really know how we're going to get past this area. I don't fancy falling down a chasm any time soon.
