"Why does remembering the dead have to be sad? I swear, you people need to learn how to have Irish wakes. We all get drunk, tell stories, and pass out. Much more fun."
I'd offer you a drink, but you wouldn't take it, so instead I'll say this: "It's good to remember the dead, but you have to celebrate the living, because other wise you might as well be dead."
That's what you have to do. Maybe when Sam gets a little older you can tell him why his birthday is such a special day. That way you can mourn and celebrate with him.
"Beedle-iidle-deedle-boop . . ." The usually perky sounds of the Gooseberry were instead replaced with a somewhat sorrowful sound. The Gooseberry had heard, oh boy had it heard. How could it not? "'Insert Name Here'?"
"Now, now . . ." The little imp started to say as he rustled around from inside the box. "Today is May twenty-fifth. According to the schedule, I was told to get these," He struggled to open the door, failing miserably. "Insert name here? Can you open me?" He paused. Vimes wasn't going to open it, more likely throw it. ". . .These lilacs are going to be rather pressed if I don't get them out soon."
Ah, you're always confused as it is...I was pretty certain anyway. The icons and the writing style kinda give you away, m'dear. I and remembered you saying you played Sam Vimes and ran Sages...
((Hehehe, yeah. *snuggles* How's stuff? I've seen your pup answering some questions and all. If you have him ask one, I'll be sure to make one of my two-dozen or so of mine answer. *winks*))
