A costly trip to the doctor's

In preparation for the trip to Cambodia, I went down to the doctor's yesterday evening to get the necessary immunisations.

At a total cost of SGD100, I got for myself three injections... tetanus, typhoid and flu, as well as malaria pills that will have to be taken for 1.5 months, one tablet per week. >.There should really be subsidies for money ( Read more... )

Yalor very sad case 1. See doc better look for cheap cheap 1 cos how much you spend can only claim $10.

Actually, depending on which part of Cambodia you are heading to, it isn't exactly necessary to take so many jabs right? Pardon me if I'm sounding ignorant (perhaps some diseases started sweeping the nation after I went there last year - who knows?) =)

Hmmm, going for Service Learning in Siem Reap, so tetanus is a must. Can't afford to fall sick as I'm bringing students there, so I guess the rest are necessary as precautions too =]

Oooh.. Heard from another teacher that if you are going on a YEP trip or something along that line, you would have to take all those (horrible) jabs. Apologies for the ignorance!
