I had to go to work today. People are killing each other left and right and it was like nothing was different at school. [ Meiling's characteristic carefree nature is absent from her tone. The past few days have been hard on her, even in isolation, as she cannot escape the emotional aftermath of all this senseless bloodshed ( Read more... )

this won't end well, not enough answers, @home, for whose own good?, !ic

-Patchy had come for her second letter. What she had found was Meiling continuing to be defiant. Her anger was palpable.-

Step aside, gatekeeper.

[...can she still cling to you, Meiling?

Well, maybe that's a silly thing to ask; Flandre's already doing that. All sudden and curled up on her side, too, and not caring about the dirt.

The whining sound has turned into more of a quiet mumble. Not really words.]

But the grass---

Mm. No. Okay, I'll go... [ She suppresses a groan at the contact, but brings her hand away to pat Flandre on the head anyhow. Her body feels like lead, but she takes her hand back to help push off of the floor with all her might (though it's not much).

Maybe they can get their new drone-dad to help put her shoulder back in place... ]

[Flandre makes that grumbly sound again--interrupted only briefly when Meiling pats her head. Nooooo she doesn't want to move she wants to stay right here where Meiling is.

--oh, the person in question was moving. A little bit. Should she help? She messed up before...

Flandre does let go, at least, though she isn't sure how to proceed next.]

[ Preeeetty much. It's good that she wasn't as weak as she was a minute ago, because at least she can rise to her feet and shuffle her way over toward the steps. The outside walls are peppered with sections where projectiles have splintered the wood and siding, along with the occasional burn mark. ]

...oops. I guess I'll have to clean that up soon.

[Flandre is helpful!

...she latches onto Meiling's side as soon as she stands up. Extremely helpful.

Hopefully that doesn't knock the gatekeeper over. Though the vampire wasn't exactly thinking of that.]
