[ What is Meiling doing up here? What is Remilia doing down there? ] Sleeping?
[ It isn't short to be mean, but that's literally the only thing she can think of at the moment. Things are kind of hazy, and she feels so weary. It's been quite some time since she's been like this, and everything takes so much energy.
That doesn't stop her from uncoiling, which takes a few sections of gutter with it, and stretching out. Ahhhh, that feels good. ]
[Well, thumps from the roof had been pretty commonplace in the past few days. Flandre had mostly tuned them out, with one day blurring into the next like they usually did.
Usually, though, the roof didn't keep thumping. And make somewhat alarming noises, like it was trying to fall in.
...and what's that, out the window?
Flandre chirps as she toddles over to it, clawing at the glass a bit--then apparently remembering that it won't just break because she wants it to. At least not now. This time she opens the window properly, though she can't lean out too far. There's a thing in the way.
It has scales and is making a rumbly noise.
So of course the first thing Flandre does is try to touch it.]
[ Her body radiates a gentle warmth, and the hard scales are rough if rubbed in the wrong direction. There is a weak twitch at the contact, as if shying away from it, and the gutter along the edge of the roof creaks. ]
[Flandre chitters, drawing her hand back slightly. What was that noise?
...nah, couldn't be important.
Stretching out both hands this time, her claws scrape against the smooth scales as she traces first one, then its neighbor and so on. Odd. She thought a lizard would be cold, yet this was warm.
Maybe it wasn't a lizard?
...well, best to find out.
The little vampire carefully crawled out of the window to try and find some purchase--oh, was that a mane? Such pretty red! She'll be holding onto that--and starts following the scales.]
[ There is a low rumble as the unexpected weight settles on the beast's back, but the source is just a long exhale of air. It's... almost like a really BIG yawn. ]
[One creak on the roof? Sakuya could handle that. But the creaking and the unmistakable sound of the chimney falling? That got her to go outside and see exactly what was going on.
And promptly stamp her foot and start to yell.]
MEILING. Wake up. You cannot treat my roof like it's your personal napping spot.
[ --and here she was hoping Sakuya would not have heard that. She has the chimney's top portion in her jaw now, and is desperately trying to put it back into place but... well, it's kind of hard with no hands.
It's sort of hard to tell with her mouth full of tuckpointing, but the dragon gives the maid a sheepish smile. ...oops? ]
Me? [ Said dragon tilts her head and then looks backward toward its own slender body. The voice is distinctly female, but forming words isn't the easiest so it might be hard to recognize... ]
[ Turning back to the witch, she points a clawed hand vaguely inward. ] Tired.

...so this is where you got off to.

--why does Remilia look so short? Meiling tries to speak, but it just comes out as a nonsensical rumble in her throat as she hasn't opened her maw.
...maw? The second eye is open now as she raises her head up to give Remilia a rather surprised look. She parts her lips and hisses. ] ...what?
