Day 47 of the IFOST
It's been a while...I know....but I've been busy :)
I think I am up to The Great Ocean Road:
So, if you get too close to the edge, you might DIE!
Imagine then, about 50 years ago, David as a 5 or 6 year old, his parents looked up to see him sticking his head out of these holes! :) *of course this was back in the days where there were no barriers at all.
Now we were SUPPOSED to be looking at the 12 Apostles (though I think there's only 11 now because one collapse in the last couple of years)
But this was sooooo much cuter - this Fairy penguin (yeah I know it's not politically correct to call them "fairies" and we are supposed to call them Little Penguins - so sue me!) went for a wander down to the ocean, had a lovely swim, and then trudged back up to the burrows - this is unusual to see during the day, and he really looked quite sad when he was wandering back up :(
There's an interesting bit of info regarding "London Bridge". Many years ago, the missing part of the bridge collapsed whilst there were people on the far side - no one was injured, but people were stuck on the rock for many hours before they were rescued. Scary stuff!
