It was good spending time with Ian, because besides enjoying his company, he was full of suggestions as to where to go and what to do - Because of his local knowledge, we asked about the old grape press (over 100 years old) and they let us have a look at it:





I managed to stop David from pinching the grapes this time:

Now I might have this a bit wrong about this house, but this style of housing was built during the depression, and it was about the same time they started tarring the roads, the men building the roads would cut the lids off metal containers that were used during the tarring, and run over the metal to flatten it, and then people used them for housing....Man! they must have been soooooo hot!
