No More Dr. Nice Khan

I had considered helping unpleasant_ifix with the torture, but I decided it had been too long since I had caused unwarranted mental anguish. Oh, yes, I had executed a member of my Sickbay staff, but executions are hard to undo so that you can enjoy them again later. So, I decided to interrupt Ifix at work. Torture can always be followed up with more torture.

I entered the brig, carrying a small case of supplies. Ifix looked up at me from the control panel he was adjusting. I could swear that he was having more fun with the equipment than the torture. He stood to attention and saluted. I tossed off a desultory salute in return and said, "Turn the machine off. I have another idea."

He raised his eyebrows, which really meant that a large quantity of fur rippled. As he was raising his eyebrows, his paw moved rapidly and slapped a control. Good. Any pause and he'd be missing a paw. The Storvik strapped to the table didn't relax visibly, but the panel readouts from his pain centers showed that the agonizers were off. Excellent. Never trust that your eager torturer follows commands until you verify the data. It's not a saying that rolls off the tongue, but it is a good working process.

I turned to the victim, winked, and turned back to Ifix. "Watch and learn." I pulled out a hypospray, set the controls, and injected the victim on the table with the contents. I then activated the restraining field for the other Storvik. He could move his eyebrows and his nostrils, but little more. I pulled out another vial and injected the second Storvik as well.

I turned back to Ifix to explain. "As my superior officer on the iss_murgatroid, Storvik had been inoculated with safeguards against my retrovirii. One of the things I tested for while I had them captive on the Revenge was to see if they could be told apart using that as a yardstick. No luck...they were both inoculated. However, since neither of them posesses any rank any longer, there is nothing preventing me from removing that protection. Yes, you can see that this is proving interesting."

Although there were no changes to the Storvik in the cell, the Storvik on the table was undergoing a metamorphosis. I pulled out a medical tricorder, then another hypospray ampoule. "That won't do. He's turning into some kind of marine mammal. There must be more than one kind of transformational virus in him. Let me knock that one out and see what else happens." A few minutes after the second spray, the Storvik on the table had completed a second metamorphosis...into a female Storvik.

I handed Ifix a isolinear optical chip. "This chip contains specific rehydration solutions for them. There are two different solutions, each optimized for the Vulcan metabolism. Do not drink either of them! Both taste horrible, and may cause digestive problems for you. Give the first solution to both of them until their mucous membranes are 75% back to normal, and then give the second solution to the female Vulcan. She will be needing more...fluid...than the other. If they refuse the fluids, you have my permission to tube feed them. At that point, you should throw them into the same cell and turn on your data recorders. That should prove...instructional." He saluted, and I walked out.

The Mib Khan of the Federation had received a patent for a drug called "extendenafil". It was interestingly useful for many species, but had the additional side effect of causing ponn farr in Vulcans. This would prove amusing at least, and could prove informationally useful. And the video would sell for pleasing quantities on the gray market...
