"The Time That Never Was: Day 232"
Who: The Doctor & The Master
When:
During the Year That Never Was, Pre-Merge
His jaw had healed nicely but their attempt to break out had been impossibly mangled and now, the Doctor found himself hardly able to hold up his head. He liked the bird cage much better than he liked the tent though, so there was that. He

Grabbing the cage, he rattled it about, knowing the little guy would fall back onto his aching and fragile bones. It wasn't hard enough to break anything, just to knock him off his footing. It was a baby shake if anything.
"Good morning my dear darling Doctor, want to come out and play? Oh I have so many ideas or today."
And he honestly couldn't hold them back, he just wanted to have some fun.

Pressing his forehead to the bars once he pulled himself up, the Doctor turned giant eyes towards the Master and sighed. He hated these games. None was ever as bad as that terrible game with the tennis ball, but time seemed to move so slowly when he was this old.
The torment never ended.

"You're so tiny! It's hilarious."
Pulling it out, he pointed the laser at the Doctor. It was easier to tease the Doctor and torture him when he was younger, his body damaged less and his bruises faded easier. Smirking, he gave the Doctor a look of mock sympathy before aiming and firing.
"Down and down and down you go. I'll stop when I say that stupid hedgehog hair."

"It's not stupid," he managed once his voice worked well enough and he got to his knees, head bowed. He hoped that the Master had a robe for him. He hated wandering around the Valiant with nothing on.
People tended to stare. How rude!
"My hair's awesome. Not ginger, uncofortunately... Can't always be perfect."

"Well, this was rubbish, someone get rid of her."
And that was all the Toclafane needed to get to work, blades flying out as they flew towards her. It wasn't a pretty death, there was a lot of slashing and cheerful noise from the Toclafane.
Blood splattered across the room and hit the Welsh man and short one, both of which looked utterly horrified at the sight. Who could blame them?
The Master sighed before shaking his head in pity. "Just obliterate her, would you?"

The Doctor's cry was not exactly anguished, more like terrified. He wasn't scared for himself, or for the other humans whose deaths he now knew would occur, but because the Master was better than this. Because he didn't appreciate being shown the battlefield again. One that the Master ran from before the Doctor could give a proper chase.
He was livid. "Master, you stop this!"
Only Lucy seemed unaffected. She wore that same oddly accepting look, the blank stare as Jack cried out in pain and Tosh...
Well, she was still alive, wasn't she? Gurlging. Holding on. It was, if anything, a relief when she died. Only then did the Doctor bow his head, though, by then, Jack hand hold of Lucy's hair.
Not smart.
"I will break her neck. You let them go!"

But it wouldn't end well for Jack still.
"You would kill her? My, my, what happened to the morals? Well, I suppose you can if you really want to. I'll have to find a new companion."
Laughing, he bounced across the Valiant and places his hands on Ianto's shoulders, peering over his head. Oh yes, the Master had noticed the little mouthing of words and the excitement at the sight of Jack. He could guess this fool was in love with the freak.
"Tell me, Ianto is it? Do you want to see the end of the universe with me?"

Jack was a lot of things. The Doctor said it to him at the warehouse almost a year ago. 'That's Torchwood' the Doctor said as if he found Jack distateful.
Well. Jack had been. Thought he'd been. Likely was. Certainly was. His past haunted him. The missing pieces came back in dreams.
Or, like now, in reality, as Owen narrowed his eyes and Ianto heaved a bit. "If...I say yes?"
"No!" Jack cried. "No!"

"That's what you do though. I always thought it was me but every companion you just leave them like they mean nothing to you. Did you leave Jack? Will you leave Martha?"
They were all good points and the Master was lost in his fury that he didn't even see Owen finally free his hands. He didn't move though, he merely put his arms behind his back carefully and turned his head to Jack.
Well, he was free, now what?

Save for Lucy. But she stayed quiet. Likely because she found the idea of escape the be...highly desirable right now.
The Doctor was still carrying on. "Of course I leave them. I leave everyone. My wife, my children, my grand daughter. You. Well. No. You worked for people that wanted me to stay forever exiled. Oh, Magister. How could you ever come with me when you thought so small?"
The words weren't true. The Doctor had not thought it all through at the time. He was impulsive.

Course, the Master was far from paying attention because he'd been in rant mode for the past few minutes.
"I though bigger than anyone, you know I did. I always dreamed of leaving and you knew-- you just knew they'd never give someone like me a job. They used me, you all used me. But who's laughing now, Doctor? I've won, game ove--"
He didn't get chance to finish, instead he slammed to the floor. Kicking the bastard in the head, Owen gave the Doctor a panicked look because the Toclafane were advancing now. "How do I unlock the handcuffs?!"

A guard hoisted their gun up and the Doctor held up one hand, terrified. He knew that the Master tortured them all. Killed their families, help them captive, forced them to work building missiles. He still could not allow them to kill him!
"The moment you do, the Toclofane will kill everyone! BACK OFF! Get me the screwdriver!"
((Also, all of my ads about getting my doctorate and Master's degree. XD))

It gave him another chance to verbally question when was going on here and to get a bit away.
"You're injured! What the hell are you doing!?"

The Master was in pain, the dull throb of his arm was not going away and every now and again, it quivered under the Masters weight as if it wanted to collapse but the Master braced both arms over the Doctor and continued to snog him once more. Because he had to do this while he had the chance and he couldn't stand having to discuss it aloud. He just wanted it, he knew he did. And was that honestly such a crime?
Yanking down the Doctors boxers, he inspected him with a critical look before a small playful smirk came on his face and in an immature manner, he waved his hand in dismissal. "Mines bigger."

Well they really should compare. Up come and personal. It only made sense.
They could scan them and feed it into the computer and get a correct density level too!

Reaching out, he grasped the Doctor and began jerking him off quite roughly. There was no love here but when had there ever been?
Stretching out, the Master chuckled and lazily continued. He had no idea how long it had been since someone did this but hopefully it would shut the Doctor up.
Wishful thinking.
As if the Doctor had a choice, either in how he looked -- though some Time Lords could control it with a sort of discipline that the Doctor could never have -- or his ability not to say a word. Impossible. Literally, honestly, impossible. Arching up into the Master's hand, the Doctor grit his teeth. After everything today, why would he want this!? Why was he reacting like this ( ... )
