so today my brakes failed and i got into a car accident. nothing serious or anything. it was in the parking lot at school and my car was in a complete stop and i was about 8 feet away from the car in front of me when i look down to put my wallet away with my foot still on the brake and i look up and my car has moved so that i'm about 8 inches away ( Read more... )

yeah, getting in car accidents suck. To tell the truth though, I'm in just a bit deeper then you. I backed into a parked PT cruiser and caused $1,800 in damage while driving before I got a liscence. Thankfuly we settled the accident privately, but i'm still working my way out of debt. IB is tough but worth it. Leave it up to your mom to see how hard you are trying you have enough on your plate already.

That's really crappy, Rachel... I hope everything turns out alright.

By the way, if you were transporting Brianna in the car from school, then it's fine, since it's an academic reason. I'm 90% sure that the law says that even a minor can transport siblings at all times, and friends from school under 25 without a license ONLY if it is for school, sports, or other academic reasons. So... You shouldn't worry too much about that. I don't think that will be too much of a problem.

yeah, I know how it goes when things keep piling up over each other and suff. If it makes you feel any better I almost hit a car while driving to school one day. Just remember that in a couple of years you will be out of high school and will be moving on to bigger and better things. But right now you just have to convince yourself to keep going even if things are really really really really really crappy. -Anna
