Apparently the series is going to be re-released with updated touches like cell phones and e-mail.

The first four have also been rereleased in the UK with new covers.

Ugh. I hate those new covers. They remind me of that awful artwork that was on the cover of the 'Elizabeth' series.

I really don't see why the series couldn't have been re-released with the original James Mathewuse artwork. I also think that the whole revamp won't work at all - SV was a product of the 80s/90s. An updated series just won't be true to the original. Why not just release SV Heights (or whatever it's going to be called) - why go to the trouble of changing a classic series?

I don't even know why I'm asking this question anyways - I already know the answer: greedy publishers.
