Callisto clung to him like a someone broken. "I don't understand what's going on, everyone's acting like I'm doing something wrong, and it hurts," she bawled.

Bridge's first instinct is to reply that he'll hurt whoever was responsible for this. Somehow, though, he suspected that wouldn't go over well.

"I could... read your aura or something?" Bridge says. "Maybe that'll offer some clues about what happened."
