Angel's Suite, Hyperion, Tuesday morning

Angel was flipping around on the channels in the hopes of finding some kind of sporting competition with a sport that mattered.

Somewhere in the high hundreds he came across someone reporting on what was clearly the best idea for a beauty pagent ever.

Angel stared and settled down to watch as much as he could.

Logan found Angel watching TV and plopped down next to him. "What's on?" he asked, then noticed the screen. "Ooh, nuns. Do you want to be alone?"

Angel may have been startled into dropping the remote. Then pretending that he hadn't. "I - what?"

Logan grinned at him. "Is this a new channel?" he asked. "The Nun Network? Or is this some kind of special-order DVD?"

"What? Oh." Angel looked puzzled not that that was unusual for him. "News?"

If Veronica had any idea what she was interrupting, she would have waited to call.

But given that she had no idea, Angel's phone started ringing.

Angel was tempted to say something like "I didn't do it!" But mostly he was distracted and forgot the part where he had voice mail. So he answered the phone instead.

"Angel."

[marsheadtilt]

"Veronica," she replied.

Because it never ceased to amuse her how he answered the phone.

"Oh." Angel tried to figure out how to hit mute on the TV. "Uh - how's it going?"

After Angel hung up, Logan waited until there was a lull in the nunrotica show, then asked, "What's up with Veronica?"

"She says hi," Angel told him.
