[Younger Ashe is about sixteen and not happy. You can get a glimpse of her very unamused face on the top deck as she tries to figure out why the hell she's on a boat.]

[Torn has always been sneaky. Comes from years of pick-pocketing, hiding from guards and just generally finding himself in places he wasn't supposed to be. This...felt like one of those places.

Torn is now eleven.

He's managed to get up to the top deck without anyone noticing him, even with his stomach rolling and none of this making any SENSE and oh Mar, there's no land in sight, it's just super blue water as far as forever.

Then he sees her.

He spots her and she's the first elf he's seen since he woke up on this tub. He notices the tattoos, but, see, he's just so relieved to find another NORMAL PERSON, he doesn't care if he's in trouble.]

[He runs up to her.]

I dunno where my mom is, anyways. Otherwise I wouldn' be botherin' you.

[She rolls her eyes. Ashelin is never having kids because of things like this. She'd sooner toss them over the edge of the boat than pop them out from between her legs willingly.

She gets the point, though, and lets him go reluctantly, more or less interested in smacking him around a bit. Because face it, she's not good with this whole thing of how to handle kids. Someone's never had any parental love to base experiences off of.]

Yeah, well. You wanna find her or what?

[She can't promise she'll be thrilled if he decides he wants to follow her around. On the other hand, Ashe doesn't know where she is and letting someone from Haven down seems like a bad idea.]

Who gave you the orders to move the KG patrols from Haven's sectors onto this ship?

Nobody gave me orders, I commandeered your unit and will continue to do so until it's safe to launch an assault on Haven.
