Brewing war is the last thing I was looking forward to...

Well, that was quite interesting.

I appreciated all of your inputs on the matter of my last entry, but in the end I decided to make for the Wastes to shake her off, even if it'll only be temporary. Since she is tracking me and not the castle, however, I made a little trip into Market Chipping to draw her attention off until the castle safely ( Read more... )

they'd better not carry through with it, ooc: fandom post, rather refreshing excursion, war..., market chipping, nice girl, witch of the waste, the escape was a success for now, hopefully the girl will be safe

Which flag would you speak of? There are two representing countries, and the others are for provinces and various major cities.

I wouldn't let it wound your conscience too badly. You got her involved to rescue her from those corrupt guards.

True, although I wouldn't say 'corrupt'. Just getting a little too friendly with a girl who had business elsewhere. I don't suppose anyone taught them any manners when they were growing up, and you really can't blame them for that.

No, I suppose not.

However, the time and place for... friendliness should be standard training for an officer.

Indeed it should. It'd save a good deal of trouble for thousands of busy young girls in the world, for one thing.

Ah! So that's what you meant by "powerful".

Not that you don't look like you know what you're doing, but if you had just left the girl when your pursuers presented themselves, wouldn't they have assumed that you had nothing to do with her and ignored her?

It would have been a slim chance at best. They had been deciding to extract themselves from their hidden locations at that exact timeframe, and once they come out, well...anything or anyone in the way would have been caught in the chase.

And, even that aside, I don't like leaving an innocent girl to have to go through something like that, even if there were a chance that she wouldn't be harmed.

That, sir, is the correct answer. Well done.

Woooooow!

Was that symbology? Can you teach me? I'll do my best to learn it, 'kay?

Ah, slow down, little miss. Perhaps we could take this one bit at a time.

For starters, I'm afraid I wouldn't know what 'symbology' is, but you could call that magic.

Oh yeah! Symbology makes wierd stuff happen. Like fireballs, or summoning my doggy, 'kay?

Grandpa says I'm the best symbologist in our villiage, 'kay?

Ah, I see. That sounds a good deal like magic, then again.

You must be quite accomplished to be the best in your village at your age.
