You know what I've learned in the past couple weeks?

Weddings are very expensive.

I haven't learned this part for sure yet, but I can hazard a guess to it: If somebody demands 'complete creative control' of an event in a written contract in exchange for the money to finance said event, it's probably a bad idea to sign that contract.

So has someone asked for complete creative control yet?

Yeeeaaah. As much as it'd be awesome to not have to worry too much about how much it's gonna cost, I have a feeling they'd make it more their big day, rather than ... well, our big day, like it's supposed to be.
My parents said they'd happily put some money towards it though, if we needed it.

It's not even them making it about themselves I'm worried about. It's just...there are elephants walking around in the pictures in their wedding album. Honest to God! Elephants!

...Elephants...?
But...why would they need elephants at a wedding...??

I don't know. Every time I ask, they laugh and say "You'll understand when you get married."!

Yes...that's an option, actually.
