If you're not dead or in the hospital it doesn't count.

I can't believe you Caleb!!! I read this post and thought, "wow how nice, and open, and thoughtful." Then I read the toilet part. I think you knew people's thoughts were going to be kind so you just had to be crass. BOOO WHORE!

You're probably pretty right about that.
Since when am I accepting of people thinking "nice, and open, and thoughtful" things about me?

Thanks for adding the Boo Whore, though. That made me adding the toilet part that much better.

oh thats really cool that he got his phd from nd. I actually really think it does make some dif to have a rec from an alumn, especially since he got his phd there. It is entirely possible that the chair or whoever who may look at your app may so much as remember him, since phd programs tend to be small. Nonetheless, you'll be able to learn about it more and find out what its like and what will be suited to you. The info you get from him will also be very good material to sqeak into a cover letter or maybe your personal statement. you know, things you learn that are what you want. You can say something like 'your small class sizes are exactly what i'm looking for' only less gay. ha!

don't eat cookies out of toilets, they may not be cookies... or atleast not exactly

That's pretty much what I was thinking. If it turns out that ND wouldn't be very well suited for me, at least I could find that out from one of my professors who graduated from their program. It's good because I'll have info on three of the grad programs I wanted to go to. But, this could turn out even better if his name has some bearing on my application. Who knows.

Yeah, your small class sizes make me feel at home. Literally.
I love your class sizes. And you. I love it all.
Thank you ND, thank you.
