Well, alchemy isn't the same as normal science, though. I mean, it involves a lot of chemistry, and occasionally biology if you're transmuting something organic, and you've got to know how to break apart the materials you're dealing with...

I don't know... I mean, my brother and I seemed to have a natural talent for it, but then we'd grown up with it. I'm honestly not sure... The majority of people in my world don't use alchemy, but I'm not sure that that's because they can't...
