[ anyone who happens to come across the bridge situated across the river between houses twelve and fifteen this afternoon will find one anakin skywalker tinkering with his right arm -- the false, mechanical one. he's doing so with a small metal file, something that may seem frustrating given the look upon his face, but is actually rather enjoyable

[Oh, look. It's the guy with the floaty mojo from the last experiment. Huh. Buffy swerves off her bee-line to get a closer look, peering at him while she crosses the bridge. Oh so nosy.

What, wait? Is that a--?] Oh my God, your arm!

[ anakin looks up mere seconds before buffy speaks up. her presence feels familiar, though he doesn't recognize her face at all. he should've recognized a familiar presence a lot sooner than he did, but with the way that this place was dimming his connection to the force, his reactions were a lot more delayed. he'd have to meditate on all this later and start paying better attention; things weren't just going to come to him here like they did back home. ]

Huh? Oh.

[ he flexes the mechanical fingers and shrugs. ]

It's been this way for a while.

[She makes her own leaps and assumptions, putting together her last encounter with this person and sandwiching it in with this one. A strange arm? Well...maybe.]

Is that how you did the floaty thing, with the groceries? Because of your arm?

[ now being aware of the body-switching incident from before, he gets where he's felt this presence before, thanks to her words. ]

Ahh, you were in the body of that girl dressed like a Diathim?

[ diathim's were the famed angels from the moons of iego, so this was a compliment towards fina's body. ]

No. I can levitate things with my mind. I'm Fo--telepathic, telekinetic, hyper-aware... Less here than I usually am.

[Hotaru watches you work on your arm with a look of clear interest. After all, before coming here she never saw anyone even vaguely like her old body. And his arm looks like it's completely robotic, no hint of flesh in the black metal]

... Do you need any help?

[ a bit lost in his work, as he's always been his happiest when fixing things, it seems, his response is delayed. he finishes reconnecting some wires before he looks up at the girl. the fixing has put him in a good mood, so he addresses her with a more friendlier air than usual. ]

I've got it, but thanks.

That's okay.

[She's still looking at your arm with curiosity.] May I ask what happened? You don't have to tell me if it's too personal.

[ it wasn't personal, even if he wished it to be. everyone back home knew that he'd lost the limb to count dooku. at least he had come to terms, by this point, with the fact that his brashness and unwillingness to listen to reason had cost him the arm; if he'd listened to obi-wan and not rushed in, he might've still had it. ]

A fight when I was younger. Got a little too sure of myself and let my guard down.

[Charlotte was walking past there, considering picking up something from one of the shops- but as she walks past this scene she instantly forgets that and decides it might be something like...]

You're a really talented mechanic, aren't you?

[ anakin nods, eyes unmoving from where they're glued to his false limb. ]

You could say that.

[...Oh good he doesn't mind! So she's going to all but lean around the guy's (I forget how tall Anakin is but I'm going on a limb to assume it won't be over due to height) shoulder! And now she's going to be watching this here science-]

...So this is really good.

[ anakin's 6'1". so freakishly tall -- but he's sitting and his height is mostly all legs, so she's good. ;) ]

The arm?

[Ed's watching him work, quite amazed to see someone doing the maintenance for their own arm.] Did you build that or do you just know how to fix it?

[notvader]

[ there's a ghost of a smile on his face as he looks up at such a question. as irritated as he still was with the situation that cost him his arm, he was proud of the ones he'd built -- especially this one. ]

Impressive. There someone else here who likes making limbs like that, she made mine actually. And I bet she'd be ecstatic to see your work.

[He is of course talking about his mechanic, Winry. The work on Anakin's arm is nothing like he's ever seen, not even in Rush Valley, and he would bet money Winry would fangirl over it if she got the chance.]

[ his eyes flicker to the other male's own arm. he didn't notice it before, because it's not something that stands out to someone like him, given his own severed limb and the world he hails from. ]

She specializes in cybernetics, I take?

[Kefka has been floating hither and fro, not really doing much of anything, but the tinkering draws his attention, and he is now hovering upside down just above you, Ani.]

Oooh my, interesting apparatus you have there, friend~!

[ he's used to such quirks in other sentients by this point, nevermind telling himself earlier that expecting the unexpected here was for the best, so there's a curious expression upon his face rather than an angry one when he looks up. ]

Never seen a cybernetic limb before?

[Kefka grins, a bit, floating down a bit for a closer look.]

Cybernetic? Is that what it's called? Fascinating! Tell me, what powers it?

[ he points to where the cybernetic components meet his skin. ]
