End Of Year Wrap Up
2018 might have just been the hardest and most miserable year I’ve pulled myself through.
from a political/humanitarian standpoint it was a roving shit show from the start, but it managed to trot along decently personally until late August when I got sick. the following four months have been a lesson in survival in the face of illness and insanity. so that wasn’t fun. I quickly turned into 1/4 of the man that I had worked so hard to turn myself into over the years and I found day to day that I had very few constants to rely on. my Michael, my Tina, my parents, and lastly, music. for several months I couldn’t even listen to any music whatsoever which tipped me off to how bad off I truly was, but coming out of the year I seem to be closer to back on track and I’ve been listening to as much stuff as I can. Throughout the last 12 months I have discovered a lot of amazing records though and I want to Spotlight that today instead of the darkness. in the past, every December I always post my top 20 albums of the year but this year I’m gonna post my top 50 because I actually sought out more music this year than I have in previous years. There’s great stuff out there in this world but sometimes you have to dig a little deeper because God knows you’re not going to hear it on the radio or see it on TV these days. so without any further blathering… Check these out:
