Anti-OTP: For all interested parties, by appointment or otherwise

Jun 01, 2007 23:50

There's a vaguely bored trickster god on a couch (if smoke is starting to curl up out of the upholstery, ignore it, it's a natural side effect), fiddling with a tea cozy. In defiance of the springtime warmth and, actually, the insideosity of the setting, it's snowing a little.

And even if it's in defiance of his well-loved spring, he'll quietly enjoy the pure whiteness of the snow. "Are you so bored that you play tricks on the weather itself?" he asks, amused.

A little eddy of flakes is going to whirl about Baldr's head. "Heya. Who says I'm bored?"

He laughs and flicks some back in Loki's direction. "Am I mistaken then?"

He makes a face. Not an unamused one. "Okay, well, maybe there's a little ennui. A little."

Freyr's hand settles on Loki's shoulder in greeting, giving the shoulder a squeeze and then coming around to sit on the arm of the couch, grinning. "Loki! Why is it snowing?"

Loki looks over at him, browarching. "Maybe it felt like it."

"Just to be contrary?" Freyr laughs, amused. "You would."

"I like snow." A snowball forms somewhere in midair, and whizzes towards Freyr. "It's fun."

Armand hurries into the main room and then comes to a dead halt, holding his hand out to catch a few snowflakes. "Snow? But it's June." He looks around and spots Loki. "Please, I hope I shouldn't need an overcoat inside the Mansion."

Loki puts on a Serious Face. "Snow starts feeling awfully neglected around June. I'm doing it a favour."

"Are you going to let it pile up?"

"It won't hurt anything." He grins at Armand. "You can come in, you know; it won't bite."

(Because we can totally pretend that this typist remembered...) Michael has been staying out of the mansion due to being crackplotted twice (to his knowledge) and cursed once. But he does wander in occasionally to steal acquire some items for Ilmarinen and himself. It is on one such occasion that he noticed the snow and that Loki seems vaguely familiar.

(We could pretend that LJ is giving this typist her notifications, too.) Loki sees Michael, who he remembers for being short and adorable, and waves. "Hi there."

He grins. "How's tricks?"

*is trying so hard to ignore that smoke but he's had too many bad experiences to do that; won't sit down on another couch in case it starts doing that, so he stands rather uncomfortably*

*gives him a grin and a headtilt* What's up?

*jumps, as if he's been caught spying* Nothing! ...'Tis snowing.

Typist: I'm not sure if notifications are getting delivered, so I hope you don't mind if I ask you something I already asked in another comment: would you buy a shirt with Robespierre and a pie on it?
also, is Sauron's anti-OTP post for all interested parties or just Finrod?
