Summary: Takaki fell in love with his wife's son.
Chapter 2:
Ryosuke wasn’t able to sleep that night. He may not say it, but it makes him sad that his mom has a new husband, because somehow he still hopes his mom and dad will come back together despite 12 years of separation. He can’t help but hate that Takaki Yuya. He just can’t trust him. He must just be using his mom for money, but he can’t really tell.
“Argh! I have to do something! I can’t just let him but in my family and ruin it more!” Ryosuke grunts to himself. He’s thinking of a way to prove to his mom that he’s not a worthy husband.
Ryosuke came down his stares with sleepy eyes. He didn’t get enough sleep so he feels dizzy.
“Oh! You’re awake! I cooked breakfast for you. Your mom left early for a corporate meeting.” Takaki greeted him delightfully.
Ryosuke was surprised with Takaki Yuya’s deed. No, he’s just making a move to make me accept him.He shook his head that made Yuya confused.
“Is something wrong?” He asked.
“No. Uhm… I’m not hungry you can eat by yourself.” Ryosuke said then turned around to go back to his room to take a bath.
“Right! “ Yuya shrugged and went back to the kitchen. “This will be harder than I thought.”
Ryosuke came down to the living room all fresh and cleaned. He saw Yuya sitting at the sofa watching TV. His expression became bitter but just went on.
“Oh! You’re going somewhere?” Yuya sensed his presence and asked him.
“Just going to my friend.” Ryosuke plainly answered.
“Can I ask you something?”
“hmm?”
“How old are you?” Ryosuke sternly asked.
“I-ahh-I am 21. Why do you ask?” Yuya nervously answered. He felt tense with the question.
“So, you’re 10 years younger than my mom… Aren’t you a bit ashamed?”
Yuya’s face became grimm.
“What do you mean by that exactly?”
“I mean I think you’re a gold digger.” Ryosuke arrogantly stared at Yuya with resentment which made Yuya’s temper reach its limit.
Yuya closed his eyes and breathed heavily to compose himself.
“Look. I know you don’t like me and I’m trying to make you accept me. But what you think of me is too much! I love your mother and no age gap can ruin it! I have a job of my own and I never asked money from Yu and I never will!”
Ryosuke was startled with Yuya’s reply and backed off a little.
“Well… Yeah! Whatever you say… I still don’t trust you thought…. Uh… I’ll get going!” Ryosuke nervously stepped out of their house to go to Chinen’s house. He missed his childhood friend and he thinks he’ll be able to understand his situation and help him.
Yuya slopped down to the sofa and released a sigh.
“Huh! Brat! I’ll get you to accept me. You’ll see.” He smirked.
Chinen’s Home:
The doorbell rang and made Chinen Yuri dash of to their door.
“I’m coming!” then opened the door.
“Hey Chii!” Ryosuke greeted.
“Woah! Ryo-chan! You came!” Chinen exclaimed and eventually hugged his best friend. “Come in!”
“Thanks Chii.”
Chinen served him juice and strawberry cake, his favourite.
“Woah! Strawberry cake!” Ryosuke excitedly nudged on the cake.
“So, Ryo-chan, how do you find your step dad huh?”
Ryosuke almost got choked on the question.
“I don’t like him. For goodness sake chi! He’s 21! I know he’s just taking advantage of my mom and I won’t allow that.”
“But he seems like a good guy. Why don’t you give him a chance? Maybe he has no bad intentions and really loves your mother.”
“hmph! I thought you’ll understand.”
“I understand that you’re still hoping for your parents to come back together, but don’t you think your mom’s happy with Takaki-san?”
“…”
“Just try and observe Ryo-chan okay?”
“Alright! Alright! But I still won’t accept him as my step dad! No way! My dad’s way better than him!”
Chinen just left a sigh to his best friend’s stubbornness.
