Gah! I have so many feelings. I was elated over finding this new story from you when I woke up and checked the internets this morning. Man, you've set up a story that's sure to be angst-y, and I love you so much for that. I'm completely curious as to what happened with Finn and why she's still in good with his mom and Burt but why he's not in the picture. I love that she's moved out to California to start a new life with her son and how, in her time of need, she winds up on Puck's doorstep. There's so, so much potential just in these 2k+ words and I cannot wait to find out what you have in store for us. :)

I actually LOL'd at Puck calling her "fun size" and Rachel telling him what she and Connor lack in size they make up for in volume. Your writing is simply the best and I love it.

I'm so glad to have been a pleasant surprise in your inbox, especially since, like you, I love it when the internets produces something I want to read! And yes, the set-up alone introduces all sorts of angst, which is really not my specialty, but I'm going to do the best I can to tackle it straightforwardly. As for Finn, I think he may not come off well initially, but he's certainly no villain and he has an important part to play in this. I really want everyone to have shades of grey in this piece. I'm really excited to read more. Especially how you've depicited Rachel so weary and run down-I can't wait to find out how she got everything but her dream. I love her as a mom, how absolutely devoted she is to Conner and how much she obviously adores him.
I liked how you showed how much Puck still cares about her by his reaction-the instant reaction and jumping to act, to help in someway.
Can't wait to see what happens next.

Thank you so much! Poor Rachel, she really is almost at the end of her rope, isn't she? A lot of this story is a reaction to my fear that Lea Michele's itune sales are going to keep Rachel in Lima instead of allowing her to go to New York. And yes, for Puck it really doesn't matter how many years have passed, he's always going to want to help her. Again, I really appreciate the feedback!
