Is dead. This was so well written and so perfect and I have no words. I'm going to go reread this a hundred times now.

They’re dancing, she realizes, and it feels almost…fun. She’s never tangoed with a girl who knew they were dancing before. It’s always been straight girls, always been a questionable, mindless act, but this…

This part in particular was adorable and rang so true.

This is so absolutely perfect that it hurts.

JFC. If this is what you come up with all the time, I am just going to have to keep chucking prompts at you, girl.

I love the little details you put in, from the headphones to the homemade track (and ditto on the needing the recording of Beca singing that track IMMEDIATELY). I love how simply plausible this is, of what it could have been. I love the twists and turns and surprises of it.

It's a prelapsarian love song that I just want to draw sparkly hearts around forever.

Loved this. I never expected to fall this hard for Beca/Chloe so I'm glad I'm not the only one. I really liked that Beca gave her a song with all of Chloe's favorites. That was so cute. This whole thing was cute.

Well, this is totally baller. Great job with it. It had a bit more gravitas than I was expecting-- given that, at least insofar as I remember a movie I've seen exactly once-- Chloe's character was wielded more for humor than seriousness when she wasn't being used as a piece of Aubrey's story or talking about vocal nodes, but I really liked that. You struck a really good balance between the seriousness of her emotions, both as an overarching plotline and in individual snapshot-like moments throughout the story, and the general frivolity accorded to her personality in the movie, which is really impressive ( ... )

Hi. :) To answer your question about the music thing, there's an oddity there because, while the real depth of why music makes a person feel might go over said person's head, how many people do you know who don't say something like, "Oh god, I LOVE *insert band or song here*" when asked? Even if they don't really think about music (which Chloe believes Beca does, given the expense of her headphones and so on and so forth, putting her in a similar corner to Aubrey and Chloe herself), people generally like to talk about the things they like. And Beca is so guarded that she's totally disinterested in engaging in that (to Chloe) perfectly normal conversation.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Ha, so basically I vastly overthought that entire thing and created an issue that wasn't actually there. I blame postgraduate education for that; I overthink and nitpick literally everything

Thank you for answering! It's always refreshing when someone will actually talk about writing or their stories, even if only briefly.
