I'll do my best, although I reckon it must surely have been more by luck than by judgment!
She now won't go to sleep as she's all excited and keeps pushing against everything with her legs. "Everything" in this case mainly being John at the mo, but it was my thighs up until a minute ago.
Some kids do bypass the whole crawling thing, and those straight backed steady sitters seem to be the early walkers. The earliest I have seen it was my friend Beccy's daughter at 8.5 months, it was fairly freaky even then as the child in question could intuitively walk but had no idea where they wanted to go so blundered into things for a bit :)
