I am selling some stuff on Ebay. Some of it is very nice, but just not my style anymore (e.g. whilst I love the T shirt, I don't think I can wear it around a child). I am also going to miss my Alchemy cutlery set a bit as it is very lovely, but needs must and all that. If you want to take a look/bid then the stuff is here ( Read more... )

Why won't they let you use the local tip?

Well done on the unexpected clearing up! I hate it when one job turns into more jobs, and it happens so damn often!

Local politics. The local tip is only a couple of miles away, but it's across the county border. Apparently the "good" people of Worcestershire got annoyed with Warwickshire people using their tip, and have instituted a permit system to stop us doing so. There have been inter-Council wranglings, but apparently even offering them money has met with no success. So if we want to use the tip we have to drive to the one on the other side of Stratford, which is pigging miles and takes ages when you've got a car loaded up with stuff. Also, I really hate dealing with dual carriageways and other fast A roads when the car's piled with that kind of unsafe load, but the alternative is twisty lanes, and that's certainly not any better. If we got to go to the local tip it's almost all clear 30mph and 40mph roads to get there.

Well deserved bath indeed. That dolly is pretty surreal - I wonder how she ended up there!

They had a dog, so I suspect that she was used as a chew toy.

Covering her up with earth may spook Izzy out even more if she were to see a tiny dolly hand poking up from the ground ... or the rain washed away the earth to reveal a body ... like something out of CSI for toddlers!

The cutlery is georgeous but I cant justify it. Have you got an approximate dress size for the t-shirt?

The tip thing sounds really daft, do the council have a bulk collection system? Our do but they will only take 5 things and they have to be bundled.

No bulk collection thing that I'm aware of, but I could look into it.

The T shirt is about a size 16 at a guess.

Therefore I did not expect to be having to manhandle several scaffold poles and a whole stack of uPVC cladding, as well as various other bits of junk that appeared to have been abandoned in the said shrubbery by the house's previous owners.

Yeah, we have a garden much the same!

blinkin' Pilchards :/

The scaffolding poles can be sold to a scrap metal merchant.

PS. Thanks for the tip about driving on ice it saved me 3 times this morning.
