Evilly mixed messages win. I mean, you are giving something sweet but helping her out at the same time. Just don't verbally remind her of the walking episode when you give her the present.

hmm, that is tough cuz your right, she may just think it is a continuation of the mocking.... maybe if the card said something positive about her walking it would be better? i still think it is a nice gift and you should give it because your intentions are good.

actually, i called and asked. she really did not want the pedometer. she wanted plants. *sigh*
