so, i'm not getting into it here but things are done with mark. i've sorta been filling that hole with home improvement activities...though i'm still living in a shed in the woods. i made a lamp, have some bedding being shipped to me from world market, made a lamp, have drawn up plans to build a headboard (it's gonna light up!), and this weekend ( Read more... )

holy shit! does your life ever slow down?
Also, people in slc look at you funny no matter what. I need to go online and use the bathroom and I knew where the library was at slc near the university. and i get out of my car, in flip flops and travel clothes and all these people walked around me like i had the plague.

course, it could have been the cali licenses.

i feel my life has become rather slow since moving to colorado.

slc was completely dead. and the ikea had kids that could best be described as mallrats, making them ikearats? it was a little strange. we hoped they tried to open our old, car rattled can of bud light.

wow. road trips with you seem to generally have this essence to them. Crazy, hilarious, a little sad, you almost want to cry at your luck but you can't stop laughing. I'm sorry to hear you and Mark are over, but hope it's for the best. The IKEA in slc is the closest one to me as well. I seriously considered a roundabout trip up there on my way here (except the fact that I had no money and could have just stopped at the ikea in so cal...), but am fortunate that denver has awesome thrift stores, and a ton of them. And I agree with Ellie that your life seems to have a faster rate than your peers.

My davis roomies and I came up with a new slogan for IKEA after driving to the San Fran branch (a two hour drive) a few times for "In Stock" items that randomly disappeared. "IKEA: FULL OF LIES" I think they should put it in their comercials :D
